Nikita Kahn’s Boyfriend, Larry Ellison
Born Lawrence Joseph Ellison on the 17th August 1944, in New York City USA, he is the son of a Jewish mother who never married. His mother, apparently living a miserable life, couldn’t help but give him up for adoption when he was just nine months old and sick with pneumonia.
He was adopted by his aunt and uncle, and didn’t know who his mother actually was until he turned 48 years of age. He grew up in Chicago’s South Shore neighbourhood in a Reform Jewish home, but refused a bar mitzvah celebration when he was 13 years old. Larry never graduated, as he left the University of Chicago after only one term, and after studying at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, from which he withdrew following the end of his second year. However, he was introduced to computer design at the University of Chicago, and eventually moved to Berkeley, California, where he started pursuing his career.
Before he launched his own company, he worked for Amdahl Corporation and Ampex Corporation in the ‘70s. However, it was in 1977 that he launched Software Development Laboratories (SDL), with the help of two partners. The company eventually became the Oracle Corporation, which is now the third-largest software company in the US by revenue.
Personal Life and Net Worth
Larry is many things in addition to being a profound businessman. He is a pilot, a yacht racer, tennis tournament owner as he bought the Indian Wells Masters tournament, and also a philanthropist. He has been married and divorced four times, and has two children, David Ellison and Megan Ellison.
His first wife was Adda Quinn, from 1967 to 1974. His second marriage lasted for a year (1977-78) was with Nancy Wheeler Jenkins – six months after their wedding, Larry founded SDL, and his wife gave up her share of the company for just $500; what a mistake, don’t you agree? Larry’s third wife, Barbara Boothe (1983 to ’86), was a receptionist at Relational Software Inc. (RSI), and gave Larry two children before their divorce, and his fourth wife was Melanie Craft (2003-10). Larry is the fourth wealthiest person in the USA and sixth in the world with almost $70 billion in net worth as of late-2019.
