Claire has a younger sister named Dove, who is a famous Disney Channel star. The two sisters grew up together in Seattle, and have been very close since childhood.

Claire’s father was the owner and founder of the Kandahar Trading Company, which stocked ethnic fashion accessories. He loved music and always accompanied his two daughters on the saxophone and piano. On the other hand, her mother wrote a book called “The Hollywood Parents Guide”. Claire’s parents later divorced, and her dad passed away when the girls were still very young.

With a broken family, and one parent absent, Claire became even closer to her sister. She also acted as an elder sister to her younger sister’s boyfriend, Ryan McCartan.
