The Riches of John Brotherton
How rich is John Brotherton? As of late-2019, sources inform us of a net worth that is over $2 million, earned through a successful career in acting. He’s been in the entertainment industry since 2005, appearing in both film and on television.
Early Life and Education
There is very limited information about John’s life growing up, as he hasn’t shared a lot about his family and upbringing. It is known that he developed an interest in acting at a young age, and began doing commercial work as young as 10 years old. While he grew up in Ellensburg, his family later moved to Portland, Oregon where he completed his elementary education. The family then lived in Beaverton, where he attended Whitford Junior High School.
He completed his high school education at Beaverton High School. The school dates its history back to 1875, and is the oldest high school in the area, and probably the oldest public high school in the state that is still in its original location and building. After matriculating from high school, he enrolled at Oregon State University located in Corvallis. The public university offers over 200 programs and is the largest in the state, with over 28,000 enrolled annually. The school is only one of three institutions to have land-grant, sea-grant, space-grant, and sun-grant designations.
Rise to Fame
In 2005, Brotherton started taking professional acting projects, beginning with the film “Pervert!”, which was released in 2005. The following year, he worked on both “Analog Days”, and “The Game”. In 2007, he got one of his most notable roles when he was cast in the soap “One Life to Live” as Jared Banks, aired on the ABC, and following the story of the Lord family, including their relationships. The show has won several awards during its over 43-year run through 2011. He was a part of the show until 2010.
After this run, he mainly took work on television, appearing as a guest in popular shows. Some of the projects he worked on over the next few years included “Dexter”, “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”, and “2 Broke Girls”. He also did a bit of film work, including “Surprise, Surprise”, and “True Love”. In 2013, he was cast in the film “The Conjuring” as Brad Hamilton. The horror film is the first of the “Conjuring Universe” franchise, featuring paranormal investigators who become a part of prominent haunting cases.

Recent Projects
A year after his appearance in “The Conjuring”, John had a support role in the film “Guardians of the Galaxy”. The superhero film is based on the Marvel Comics team of the same name and is a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), directed by James Gunn, starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper. The film proved to be a critical and commercial success, becoming the highest grossing superhero film of the year.
He also appeared as a stand-in for Paul Walker in the film “Furious 7” after the actor passed away in a car accident sometime during filming. The film is the highest grossing film of the entire “Fast and Furious” franchise, becoming the third highest grossing film of 2015. One of his latest projects is the Netflix show entitled “Fuller House”, initially as a recurring cast member before being promoted to the main cast. The show is a sequel to the early 1990s show “Full House”, and follows the story of DJ Tanner-Fuller, who is a widowed mother of three sons, with many of the original show’s cast members appearing as guests or as regular cast members.
Personal Life and Social Media
For his personal life, it is known that Brotherton married his longtime girlfriend Alison Raimondi in 2008, and they have two children together. He spends most of his free time with his family, going outdoors, particularly beaches and seaside locations with them. He also enjoys going to events and spending time with fans, interacting with them through conventions and the like. He is also a big fan of theatrical productions, and was a stage actor before transitioning to more on-camera work.
Similar to numerous actors, he is active online through accounts on social media. He has an account on Instagram on which he has over 450,000 followers, using the platform to give some insight into his life away from the cameras. He posts many photos with his family, and even throwback pictures from time to time. He also has a Facebook account with over 10,000 fans, though it has not been active since 2018. Another account he has is on Twitter, which has over 10,000 followers, used to promote his work, including upcoming projects.
