Bailey matriculated from Saucon Valley High School in 2009; in her senior years she was named the prom queen. Bailey then started studying musical theatre as her major at DeSales University, but dropped out to pursue her acting career, as she received her first job offers from Hollywood, so she eventually moved to Los Angeles.

Early acting career

Bailey actually had her first role in 2000 when she was only 10 years old, appearing as Kate in “Just for the Time Being”, the romantic drama featuring Eva Herzigova and Patrick O’Neal. Then in the same year she appeared in the “Off the Map” series, playing Shannon in the episode “I’m Here”, followed the next year by landed the role of Rosie Rovello in six episodes of the TV show “First Day”. The year of 2012 was more than successful for Bailey, as she had roles in four series, appearing as Tammy in “The Ropes”, portraying a bunhead (a ballet dancer) in “Glee” in the episode “Makeover”, in the role of Mandy in a few episodes of “Secret Diary of an American Cheerleader”, and as Leg Lamp in “All the Wrong Notes”.

At the beginning of 2013 Bailey could be seen in the role of Miss North Dakota in the “Malibu Country” comedy series, and also as Hellen in the relaunched version of “90210”.

Adilyn Bellefleur in “True Blood” and further works

From 2013 to 2014 Bailey played the role of Adilyn Bellefleur in the popular series “True Blood”, the daughter of sheriff Andy Bellefleur, who is half-fairy; Bailey appeared in 17 episodes of the show, and her fame rose noticeably. She later landed the role of Anna Aissaoui in “Martyrs” (2015), and in 2016 had several roes – Lindsay Jolson in “Lucifer”, Carly in “The Good Neighbor”,won the role of Serena in “Summer of 8”, even though several other actresses were very close to getting the role, then Katy in “Hard Sell” (2016).

Also in 2016 Bailey was cast in the recurring role of Bess Burrows in “The Last Tycoon”, and also appeared as Amy Preston in “Timeless” which stretched into 2017.

Lauren Pierce in “The Archer” and most recent works

Bailey landed the role of the straight-A student Lauren Pierce, who was a high school champion in archery and who happened to be drawn into a fight with her friend’s mate. Lauren was put into a juvenile detention center, from which she absconded. To look real in the archery scenes, Bailey took archery classes at Pasadena Roving Archers, Los Angeles; she was trained by the Olympic Level 3 coach Matt Berling, and Bailey shared that it was super fun. The experts appreciated the excellent archery technique Bailey demonstrated in the film, and her coach Matt was also very proud of her: ‘She was a great student. She had a lot of body awareness because she does yoga and is pretty physically fit.

She took to the training very well. She could apply my coaching right away. She was probably one of the best students I’ve ever had’, Matt remembers his classes with Bailey in his interview to Archery 360.

Later in 2017 Bailey landed the role of Jamie Pisarcik in the TV mini-series “Law & Order True Crime”, appearing in five episodes of the show, and then played the role of Laurie Dante in “The Resident”, and the recurring role of Courtney Abbott in “The Last Ship” series, through 2018. Among her most recent works are the role of Rachel in “The Rookie” (2018), the role of Becky Silverman in “Criminal Minds”, in which she appeared in the episode “Family Tree” (2020), and the role of Marlene in the new TV series “Them: Covenant” (2020 – present).

Bailey does a lot of yoga. She has two Golden Retrievers dogs, Jetty and Tucker.

Bailey lost an old friend of her childhood, Tim Wilt, who died from shallow water blackout (also called hypoxic blackout), as he was trying to break his personal record of holding his breath under water. He died on 27 August 2016, leaving his family and friends grieving over their untimely loss. Since Tim’s death, Bailey raises awareness about such dangerous activity, and donates money to Shallow Water Blackout Prevention foundation, organized by the family of Whitner Milner, who drowned in the swimming pool at the backyard of his own house.

Bailey didn’t give up on archery after taking the classes for her role of Lauren Pierce in “The Archer”, and it’s become another hobby.
