Early life and education
Leslie grew up alongside her sister and their younger brother Ford in Salisbury – their father was Carroll Stanford Hamilton, a physician, who died in a car crash when Leslie was five years old. Leslie’s mother was a housewife, who married the chief of police some years later.
Leslie studied at the Wicomico Junior High before enrolling at Wicomico High School and matriculating in 1974.

Leslie appeared in three scenes in the “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” movie after her sister permanently damaged her ear in the elevator scene – she fired a gun without first putting her earplugs in.
