Bigi Jackson, who was previously known by the nickname Blanket, is an American YouTuber and TV personality, who is perhaps best known for being the youngest son of the late legendary singer-songwriter, dancer and philanthropist Michael Jackson, who was widely regarded as the ‘King of Pop.’
Age, Early Life, and Education Background
Bigi was born Prince Michael Jackson II in La Mesa, California, under the Pisces zodiac sign on 21 February 2002. He is the son of Michael Jackson, who succumbed to acute anesthetic propofol intoxication at the age of 50 in Los Angeles, California. Bigi was seven years old when his dad died on 25 June 2009. He was born through surrogacy, and hasn’t disclosed the name of his mother. Bigi spent his childhood days in Sycamore Valley Ranch, previously known as Neverland Ranch. When Bigi was nine months old, his father held him – using one arm around his waist – over the edge of a balcony at Hotel Adlon in Berlin, Germany, which sparked public outrage. Michael later issued an apology for endangering his son’s life, stating that he only wanted to show him off to his fans and didn’t intend to deliberately endanger him.
After the death of his father, Bigi stayed away from the public glare, unlike his step-siblings, which saw him nicknamed the ‘invisible boy.’ He dropped the nickname ‘Blanket’ in 2015.
Bigi is an environmentalist, who’s commented at the United Nations (UN) COP26 session: ‘I do think it’s important that we all know about it (combating climate change). And I think we have some work to do, but our generation knows how important it is’.

Career
Bigi made his first film appearance in the 2003 documentary film, “Living with Michael Jackson,” which follows the interview of his father and the British reporter Martin Bashir. His following appearances were in the live telecast “Michael Jackson Memorial Service” in 2009, the TV Special, “The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards” in 2010, and “The Oprah Winfrey Show” in the same year. In 2011, Bigi made a brief appearance in “The X Factor” live performance show, and later in the 2019 documentary movie “Leaving Neverland.”
Bigi often creates film review videos together with his brother – they post them on the YouTube channel, Film Family, which was launched in May 2019 and currently has around 50,000 subscribers. Their most viewed videos include “Sonic the Hedgehog: Movie Review,” which has over 230,000 views, and “The Way Back,” which has almost 140,000 views.

Bigi hasn’t commented about his dating life, and is seemingly single as of 2023. He is very close with his step-siblings – in 2020, his sister wished him a happy 18th birthday and wrote a heart-warming message admitting how proud she was of the handsome, insightful, kind, and funny young man he had become. Bigi considers his big brother, Prince Michael Jackson his best friend – they share many similar hobbies as seen on their YouTube channel.
