Early Life, Education, and Career Beginnings

Geno was raised by his parents in North Carolina, and at a young age developed a strong ability when it came to athletic activities. Acting Transition

During his time in New Zealand, Segers heeded the suggestion of a friend that he should try auditioning for voice ads on radio. He had a natural bass tone that got him a lot of attention, and eventually an agent caught wind of him, casting him in an Australian production of “The Lion King” in which he portrayed the character of Mufasa. Soon, more acting projects would come his way, and he appeared in films in China before making his way to Hollywood.

In 2011, he became the host of “Fort Boyard: Ultimate Challenge”, originally a UK game show that was produced in the US in collaboration with Disney XD. In the game, six teams of teenagers battle it out in various challenges until one remains as the champion. He stayed there for a year, and while doing the show, he was also cast as a series regular in the Disney XD show “Pair of Kings”. The sitcom was filmed in front of a live studio audience, and follows two Chicago teens who discover that they are rulers of a fictitious island nation in the Pacific.

Continued Rise to Fame and Recent Projects

Geno stayed in “Pair of Kings” for three years and a total of 52 episodes until the show ended in 2013. A year later, he had a two episode role in the show “Teen Wolf”, a supernatural series loosely based on the 1985 film of the same name, following the story of a teenager who is bitten by a werewolf, and has to learn how to manage his life with this new development.

After an appearance in “Castle”, he was then cast as a regular of the show “Banshee” from its second season. The show aired on Cinemax and is set in a small town in Pennsylvania’s Amish country, following the story of an ex-convict who pretends to be the town’s murdered sheriff to try and hide from a crime lord. Geno was not born in 1978! I’m sick of seeing this reported wrong. He graduated East Forsyth in 1985 and he was 18! Count back and that is NOT 1978! Duh!
