Yon Gonzalez Luna was born in Bergara, Basque Country, Spain, on 20 May 1986 – his zodiac sign is Taurus and he holds Spanish nationality. Early life and education
Yon was raised in Bergara alongside his older brother Aitor Gonazlez Luna who is an actor as well, having appeared in movies such as “Sordo” and “El Aviso” in 2018.
The two were born into a middle-class family, with their mother being a housewife and their father a factory worker. They attended a public school in Bergara, then Yon moved to live in Madrid at the age of 18 to work there and hopefully make his way up in the film industry, influenced by Juan Diego, Luis Tosar and Jordi Molla who are all actors and his role models.
Career as an actor
Yon launched his career as an actor in several theatre plays at the age of 20, then appearing in the “SMS” TV series in 2006 and 2007.
Later in 2007 he attended an audition for the role of Ivan Noiret Leon in “The Boarding School”, winning it and playing Ivan from 2007 to 2010 winning an ACE Award for Best New Actor, and being nominated for a Golden Nymph Award for best actor in a drama series. He was simultaneously shooting for several short films, such as “The Storymaker”, “Impossible Loves”, and “Identity”. In 2009, he portrayed Nico in the “Sex, Parties, and Lies” film, and then appeared in the “Latex Puppets” short film, winning a La FILA Festival of Short Films Award for best male performance.
After “The Boarding School”, he appeared in the “Sofia” miniseries, and “The Whos” TV series before being invited to portray Julio Olmedo in the “Gran Hotel” TV series, appearing in it from 2011 to 2013, and winning a Fotogramas de Plata Award for best television actor. In 2008, Yon met Natalia, a Spanish model and Instagram star, and the two dated for a year before splitting in 2009. He spent the next six years single before meeting a mysterious girl whom he dated for two years.
The two split in 2017 and in the same year he met Angela Cremonte, a Spanish actress, on the set of the “Cable Girls”. The two began dating not long after meeting for the first time and although it is believed that they are still together, some sources say that the two split sometime in 2019.

Yon is interested in charity work, and was one of the supporters of the ONG Childhood Without Limits Foundation in 2007.
Yon enjoys learning new languages, and apart from Basque and Spanish he can have normal conversations in English but is still improving it. He is a fan of Hollywood movies and actors such as Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Marlon Brando while some of his favorite movies are the “Godfather” trilogy, “12 Angry Men”, and “Meet Me in St. Louis”.
He enjoys listening to jazz and blues music and could have been seen attending many concerts over the years while is also a great dancer and knows how to dance salsa, tango, and bachata while he credits his skills to his Spanish blood.
