The two were born into a middle-class family, with their mother being a housewife and their father a factory worker. They attended a public school in Bergara, then Yon moved to live in Madrid at the age of 18 to work there and hopefully make his way up in the film industry, influenced by Juan Diego, Luis Tosar and Jordi Molla who are all actors and his role models.

Yon launched his career as an actor in several theatre plays at the age of 20, then appearing in the “SMS” TV series in 2006 and 2007.

Later in 2007 he attended an audition for the role of Ivan Noiret Leon in “The Boarding School”, winning it and playing Ivan from 2007 to 2010 winning an ACE Award for Best New Actor, and being nominated for a Golden Nymph Award for best actor in a drama series. He was simultaneously shooting for several short films, such as “The Storymaker”, “Impossible Loves”, and “Identity”.
