Early life and family
Dessie Mitcheson was born on 30 June 1990, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA, so her zodiac sign is Cancer, and she holds American nationality. She was born to parents Linda and Timothy Mitcheson, and has an older brother named Dane, who has recently married his long-term girlfriend, Michelle. Dessie’s father is a musician who plays the guitar and harmonica, while her mother is a cosmetologist.
Educational background
Dessie matriculated from her high school in Pittsburgh in 2008. As soon as she graduated from Pennsylvania Academy of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences with a BA in cosmetology in 2012, she focused on her modelling career, and created her own bikini brand. Dessie started her modelling career when she was still a high school student. When she turned 18, she fought for the title Miss Pennsylvania USA, and got to the Top 20. The same year she became of the Faces of Playboy Intimates, being featured on the pages of the magazine. Later she also became the face of the MGM Grand Las Vegas.
Along with her friend and fellow-model, Kayla Fitzgerald, Dessie appeared in the CBS reality show entitled “The Amazing Race” in its Season 30.
She later landed the job of the main ring girl, working at the fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather. This job helped her to get even more offers from sports agencies, so Dessie then appeared as a sideline reporter during the games of the Legends Football League. In 2019 Dessie was featured on the cover of Kandy Magazine along with Kayla Fitzgerald. As of 2020, Dessie is affiliated to Otto Models, Los Angeles.
Bikini brand MitchFitz
Kayla “Fitz” Fitzgerald has been Dessie’s friend for more than a decade, as they appeared in many photoshoots together. The two young women decided to launch their own bikini brand, focusing on trendy knitted swimsuits.
Both promote their brand in various magazines, also working on the Instagram account of the brand, and MitchFitz got to the Top 15 list of the popular Sports Illustrated Swimsuit magazine. Dessie and Kayla started their YouTube channel, on which they post various beauty videos, such as “How to do Your Makeup in 3 Minutes – Dessie and KK”, “How to Apply the Moitié Lash Extension Kit – Dessie and KK”, and “How to Shoot Great Instagram Photos”.
Commercial contract with Ignite House
From 2017 Dessie has officially become the face of the Ignite House, the cosmetology and cosmetic brand, which promotes various cosmetology services.
Dessie appeared in the video “Ignite House: Dessie Tries Out Cryotherapy” in February 2019, demonstrating the benefits of the procedure of cryotherapy. Controversy with the Halloween sexy costume of Mr. Rogers from “Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood”
In September 2019 Dessie took part in shots for the catalogue of Halloween costumes on Yandy.com. Among others, she demonstrated the ‘sexy version’ of the costume of Mr. Rogers, the well-known character from the show “Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood”.
Even though the idea of sexyfying the images of well-known characters was not new, the internet didn’t support Yandy.com, accusing the source of degrading people, and Dessie became the target of hateful comments and messages for wearing the costume. As Dessie in fact came from Pennsylvania, where the show “Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood” was filmed, some people from Latrobe (40 kms away from her birthplace of Pittsburgh) suggested that she shouldn’t return home in order to escape from the revenge of the locals. Andrew Leyden, the author of the book “Gulf War Debriefing Book: An After Action Report” even wrote on his Twitter: ‘I’m done. Society is too sick to survive.

In her interview to CBS Pittsburgh Dessie tried to make it all look like a simple joke, as she didn’t see anything criminal in shooting in the Halloween costume: ‘When Yandy asked me to model the ‘Nicest Neighbor’ costume, I instantly laughed because it would be a coincidence that I’m the model because I’m from Pittsburgh!’. Dessie’s parents also supported their daughter, posting the photo of them wearing the costumes of Mr. Rogers, but not the sexy version their daughter promoted, though. However, Linda Mitcheson, Dessie’s mother, wore similar shorts, complimented with mesh tights.
Personal life, fiancé Zachary Pilek
Dessie met her future boyfriend Zachary Pilek back in 2011, at one of the parties they both occasionally attended. They started dating, and eventually announced about their engagement. In July 2019 Dessie made the list of her bridesmaids and bought the wedding dress – tying the knot is scheduled for 20 June 2020. Nothing is known about Zachery’s profession – Dessie keeps all details about her future husband low-key, and she once also wrote that he didn’t use Instagram as he considered it to be ‘stupid’.
