The singer is American by nationality, having been born in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Being successful in her field, she was able to gain attention from the media, which also poses some questions about her private life, and we’ll discuss those topics in this article.

Net Worth

Over $10 million.

However, she hasn’t spoken about her assets, such as houses and vehicles, but she’s seemingly well able to take care of herself financially.

Ethnicity and Background

When it comes to Rozonda’s ethnicity, she is mixed, and has luscious brown hair and brown eyes, which suits her complexion perfectly. Judging by the photos available on the internet, the singer has a fit figure, indicating that she puts time and efforts into her looks and the way that she presents herself in the media.

As of her education, Thomas matriculated from Benjamin Elijah Mays High School in 1989. Her dad, Abdul Ali, is of Arab and Bengali ancestry, whereas her mom, Ava Thomas, is of African-American heritage. Thomas was initially a dancer for Damian Dame, then in 1991 she joined TLC, replacing Crystal Jones, one of the founding members. At that time, she got her nickname, “Chilli” from Lisa Lopes, so that the group could maintain the name TLC – which was apparently an important part of their identity.

The band went on to sell over 65 million albums around the world, becoming the number one best-selling American girl band of all-time.

Relationship Status

Despite being a public figure, Rozonda prefers keeping some information behind the scenes and remaining secretive on some topics. However, keeping things away from the media can be hard sometimes. Aged 20, Thomas became pregnant but, credited to career ambitions, she ended the pregnancy.

On her show, “What Chilli Wants”, the singer went on to reveal that she regreted the decision, however, she continued the relationship with Dallas Austin, who got her pregnant. The couple went on to have a son named Tron Austin, born on 2 June 1997, but their relationship fell through and ended in late 2003. Rozonda began dating a fellow singer, Usher.

TLC

TLC is the best-selling American girl group, as they have sold more than 65 million records globally. In addition, they were ranked as the greatest female group and placed at number 12 on the list of 100 Greatest Women in Music by VH1. Billboard magazine rated the girls as one of the greatest musical trios. Despite the fact that they made their debut 20 years ago, the girls still have a prominent place in the music industry, and were rewarded with Outstanding Contribution to Music at the 17th MOBO Awards and Legend Award at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards in Japan.

The girls made their debut in early 1992, releasing the album entitled “Ooooooohhh… On the TLC Tip”, through LaFace/Arista Records. The songs on the album are a blend of hip-hop, funk and R&B, with all members contributing something to their music. The album achieved commercial success and acclaim from both critics and the audience, ultimately being certified quadruple-platinum for. Besides that, it scored three top-ten singles on the Billboard Hot 100.

TLC’s second album, entitled “CrazySexyCool” was produced by Dallas Austin, Babyface and Jermaine Dupri, who previously worked on their debut album; they also collaborated with Chucky Thompson and Sean “Puffy” Combs. The album was released on 15 November 1994, and went on to achieve vast success, being ranked among the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time by Rolling Stone magazine. It debuted at number 15 and peaked at number three on the Billboard 200, spending more than two years on the chart. Other albums made by the group include “Fanmail”, “3D” and “TLC”, with the latter being released in 2007.

Other projects

In addition to being a singer, Thomas has also briefly appeared on TV and in movies, such as “That ‘70s Show”, “A Diva’s Christmas Carol”, “Single Ladies” and “Marshall”.

To conclude, being a hardworking and dedicated person, Rozonda was able to rise to fame, and we believe there is more to come for her.
