In 1992, Ubach was cast to star as Josie in the educational children’s program “Beakman’s World.” Her two-year stint in the show brought her to public attention., then in 1994, Ubach was commended by “The New York Times” for her portrayal of a Jewish girl in the play “Kindertransport,” which was performed at the Manhattan Theater Club.
