Who is Jenna Wolfe?

Jennifer ‘Jenna’ Wolfeld was born in Kingston, Jamaica on 26 February 1974 – her zodiac sign is Pisces, and she holds American nationality. She’s a journalist and personal trainer, who’s probably known best for the work which she has done for the American networks NBC News and Fox Sports, hosting some of their most popular talk-shows. Since 2017, Jenna has been hosting the Fox Sports 1 show “First Things First”.

Early life and education

Jenna was raised in both Jamaica and Petion-Ville, Haiti by her Jewish father Bennet Wolfeld who was originally from Puerto Rico, and who was the owner of a chain of leather factories there.

Before Jenna was born, Bennet and her American mother Sheila Greenfeld moved to Jamaica because Bennet was looking to expand his operations there. Jenna hasn’t mentioned having any siblings, and is thus believed to be an only child.

She was five years old when the family moved to Haiti, and was 15 when they came to the USA. She attended a local high school and was a highly active child, playing a couple of sports during those four years, including tennis and soccer, and also wrote columns for the school’s sports magazine.

Upon matriculating in 1992, she enrolled at the State University of New York’s College at Geneseo, but transferred to Binghamton University in 1994, from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and English in 1996.

Career as a journalist

Jenna launched her career straight out of college, hired to work as a reporter at the Fox-affiliated TV station WICZ in Binghamton. After two years there, she moved to another Fox-affiliated TV station WUHF, a job located in Rochester, New York State.

Between 1999 and 2002, Jenna lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, working at the TV station WPHL, and she began attracting attention in the summer of 2002, when hired to work as a reporter for the American regional cable and satellite TV network Madison Square Garden (MSG). She spent two years at MSG, then moved to the TV station WABC in New York City; Jenna worked as their weekend morning sports show anchor for the following three years, and was then invited to join NBC News.

She became the correspondent of the NBC News morning talk-show “Today” in 2007, a job which she then went on to hold for the following seven years; she simultaneously worked as an NBC News National correspondent, holding the job for two more years after she had stopped working on “Today”. Jenna was also a co-anchor of the Sunday show “Weekend Today” between 2007 and 2012, and was the main news anchor between 2012 and September 2014.

In 2015, Jenna returned to “Today” as the lifestyle and fitness correspondent, and since 2017, she’s been hosting “First Things First” for Fox Sports 1.

Jenna came out as lesbian on 27 March 2013, and then went on to write about it on her Twitter account.

It was also in 2013 that she revealed that she was in a relationship with the American journalist and correspondent Stephanie Gosk, who’s today working for NBC News. In August 2013, the two women welcomed their first daughter Quinn Lily Wolfeld-Gosk, and their second daughter Harper Estelle Wolfeld-Gosk followed on 4 February 2015.

It’s believed by some of Jenna’s fans that she and Stephanie have recently exchanged vows in a private ceremony, but have chosen to keep this to themselves; neither Jenna nor Stephanie have addressed these rumors, nor has any evidence been provided to support them.
