It was right around when this photo was taken, I was such a baby. I’d been dating this handsome guy seriously for about 3 weeks. I was on his boat in Marina Del Ray early in the morning after he had left for work. His call woke me up. His tears marked the before and after of my life. Before 9-11 and after. . . . Nearly two decades later I tried to talk to our girls about this day and didn’t get out more than a few words without my voice breaking. I didn’t personally know anyone, I don’t have a harrowing story to tell about that day, but I’ll never forget. My heart broke for my country, my people, my innocence. . . We all remember. We will never forget. #shareyourstory #beforeandafter #911 #authorsofinstagram #godblessamerica
