I was a very early fan of Gloria Loring when I was 17 and she was appearing at the Royal York hotel in Toronto. I have several photos of her which I’d love to share with her. I have many other original photos of : Judy Garland , Lisa Minelli, Sonny and Cher, Sammy Davis, Ingrid Bergman etc.

  2. I went to Junior High School with Gloria (Goff) Loring and I looked up to her then and I still do. We were in some of the same classes but traveled in different circles. I will never forget her as she invited me to her house for a Christmas party with other kids from school that were mostly her friends. I was not close to anyone there. I was shy and quiet and Gloria was popular, talented and outgoing. I begged my mother to let me go and wondered if those kids were going to be mean to me, pull a prank on me, etc. From the time her mother opened the door for me, they couldn’t have been nicer. I had never been in a huge beautiful home like that and I just enjoyed watching everyone at the party having fun and finally stated I had to go, thanking her for inviting me. We are the same age and I sent a letter to her a few years ago, at least to he manager maybe, just to let her know how much that moment in time has meant to me over the years. I believe it was the beginning of my transformation to the person I have become. I am the opposite of that person I used to be and even went on to do incredible things in my life, at least for the shy quiet girl I was.
THANK YOU, GLORIA. You are forever in my memory.
