Who is Me’arah O’Neal?
American celebrity child Me’arah O’Neal was born in Miami, Florida USA, on 1 May 2006, meaning that Taurus is her zodiac sign. She’s perhaps known best for being a daughter of former professional basketball player Shaquille Rashaun ‘Shaq’ O’Neal, who’s today working on the show “Inside the NBA” as a sports analyst; he spent 19 years competing in the National Basketball Association (NBA) with six teams, with which he won the NBA Championships four times. Many people rate Shaquille as one of the best basketball players of all time.
Education and early life
Me’arah is being raised in Santa Monica, California alongside her three older siblings: her brother Shareef was born on 11 January 2000, sister Amirah on 13 November 2001 and brother Shaqir on 19 April 2003. The children’s mother is Shaquille’s former wife Shaunie Nelson; they married on 26 December 2002 and filed for divorce on 4 September 2007, but were able to reconcile. Shaunie filed for divorce once again on 10 November 2009, and it was finalized in 2011. Shaquille dated American reality TV star Nicole ‘Hoopz’ Alexander from 2010 through 2012, and was in a relationship with American model Laticia Rolle from 2014 through 2018.
The family moved to Los Angeles, California after Shaquille began playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, and Me’arah found it easy to adjust to a new life in a metropolis; they moved back to Santa Monica when she was around 14 years old, as Shaquille believed that it was a better place for raising children.
Me’arah fell in love with basketball because of her father, and was still attending a local elementary school when she began playing the sport; she eventually also became passionate about soccer and tennis. She enrolled at Crossroads School in 2020 and started in all 24 games during her freshman year, averaging 4.7 assists and 5.3 points, so helping the team reach the state quarter-finals.
She’s set to matriculate in 2024, and it’s widely believed that she’ll be looking to enroll at college on a basketball scholarship.

Me’arah’s popular on various social media networks, and is an Instagram star as nearly 200,000 people are following her today, while she’s posted more than 100 pictures and videos; most of her content is related to basketball, although she also uploads pictures which feature her spending time with her family, being outdoors and working out.
Me’arah launched her Twitter account in October 2020, but has since tweeted only 83 times; she’s nevertheless followed by close to 3,000 people on this network, and most of her tweets are about basketball.
She’s followed by more than 85,000 people on TikTok, and all her videos combined have amassed more than two million likes; most of these also show Me’arah playing basketball, although some feature her dancing and lip syncing.
She has a Facebook profile, as well, but is using it only to keep in touch with her friends and family members.

Love life and relationships
Me’arah prefers to keep her love life away from the media’s attention, and while most people believe that she’s currently focused on basketball and isn’t pursuing love, others believe otherwise.
Several of Me’arah’s fans have claimed to have seen her and her American non-celebrity boyfriend spending time in public; rumor has it that they’ve been together for nearly two years now, but this hasn’t been addressed by Me’arah, nor has any evidence been provided to support these claims.
There are also those who believe Me’arah to be lesbian, and this to be why she’s yet to speak about her dating life, but this hasn’t been confirmed either.
Me’arah seems to be unattached as of July 2023.
Interesting facts and hobbies
Me’arah was featured in her family’s reality show “Shaunie’s Home Court”, which aired its 14 episodes from 2016 through 2018. Her mother Shaunie created it, as well as starred in it alongside her children.
