Kathryn Mayorga is a physical education teacher in elementary school, who was born in Las Vegas, Nevada USA in 1984 – she came under the spotlight after accusing Portuguese footballer (soccer player), Cristiano Ronaldo of rape in 2009.
Early life and education
Kathryn spent her childhood in Las Vegas, born to Larry, an ex-fireman, and Cheryl, a housewife, and has a brother called Jason – Kathryn follows the Christian religion and is of White ethnicity. She began playing soccer and softball in high school, and was into camping and hiking as she later became a member of the Girl Scouts.
She found out while in high school that she was suffering from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder – ADHD -which is a learning disability meaning it is very hard for Kathryn to focus on a single thing – one of the side effects of the disorder is Kathryn speaking very quickly.
Career as a model
Kathryn launched her modeling career shortly after matriculating from a local high school in Las Vegas – she was noticed by a modeling scout while coming back from school, and then chose not to study at a college. She worked as a model until she turned 28 and found herself a job in an elementary school in Las Vegas, where she’s currently serving as a physical education teacher.
Accusing Ronaldo of rape
In 2009, Kathryn and her lawyer Leslie Stovall accused Ronaldo of rape and claimed to have documents which could prove that Kathryn said ‘stop’ and ‘no’ while in bed with Ronaldo – the incident allegedly occurred on 12 June 2009 in a hotel room in Las Vegas. The case was settled out of court, actually dismissed by the judge, but Kathryn received $375,000 from the famous footballer.
The case was reopened in 2018, as confirmed by the police on 31 September – the police statement reads ‘The case has been reopened and our detectives are following up on the information being provided by the victim’.
Ronaldo has addressed the public as well, and denied all the accusations, stating that Kathryn is trying to become more popular with the use of his name. Kathryn is also said to be suffering from depression and post-traumatic stress, due to what allegedly happened with Ronaldo – she’s also apparently considered suicide.
Kathryn’s love life
Kathryn married an Albanian man in 2008 who was her college boyfriend, but the two separated after a year of marriage in 2009. She is currently single and is living with her parents in their villa in Las Vegas.

Kathryn is interested in sports, and is very fond of playing football and softball. Travelling is one of her main hobbies, and she has been all around the US while she was working as a model, and has also been to a couple of countries in Europe – her favorite travel destination is Paris in France. She has several training sessions at the gym each week, and is paying extra attention to her diet – she is also a vegan. She enjoys watching movies and TV series, and her favorite actor and actress are Tom Cruise and Emma Stone. Her favorite color is black. Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro was born in Funcal, Madeira, Portugal on 5 February 1985 – his zodiac sign is Aquarius and he holds Portuguese nationality. Ronaldo was born to Maria Dolores Spinola dos Santos da Aveiro who was a cook, and Jose Dinis Aveiro who was a gardener, and has two sisters named Elma and Liliana Catia and a brother called Hugo. The family was rather poor, and Cristiano shared his bedroom with his brother and sisters.

He joined Sporting’s youth team when he was 16 and played his debut game on 7 October 2002, when he scored two goals against Moreirense in the Primeira Liga, winning the game 3-0. After Sporting beat Manchester United 3-1, the team’s manager Alex Ferguson, urged by his players, negotiated with Ronaldo to start playing for his team, and he signed a contract worth more than $12 million. He played for Manchester until 2009 when he was bought by Read Madrid for £80 million, which was then an all-time record – he signed a contract which ended in 2015, but it was renewed for four more years.
