Childhood and education

Being as secretive as she is, Stephanie has shared very little with the public regarding her parents, and hasn’t talked about having any siblings, which is why most people believe her to be an only child. Jennifer Wolfe in 2010, when they were both working for the NBC network as journalists. Their relationship was launched the same year, apparently love at first sight for them, however, they kept their relationship a secret for more than a year – they spent three years together before becoming engaged in 2013.

The announcement of their relationship came as a shock to Jennifer’s former boyfriend, who didn’t realise that she was a lesbian (or bisexual), and didn’t know that she had ever dated girls in the past. Although they haven’t talked about exchanging their wedding vows, most people believe that their wedding took place sometime in 2015.

It was not easy for Jennifer and Stephanie to maintain their relationship for the first year, as Jennifer was living in New York while Stephanie was reporting from Libya. Nevertheless, the two have managed to stay together and thanks to artificial insemination are now parents to two of their daughters named Harper Estelle born in August 2013 and Quinn Lily born in February 2015.

Although born in Jamaica, Jennifer spent her entire childhood in Petion-Ville in Haiti, alongside her father, Bennet Wolfeld who is the owner of a chain of leather factories – the family moved to Haiti after Bennet decided to expand his business from Puerto Rico to Haiti. Jennifer was born into a very religious family, and as her mother Sheila Greenfeld was an American Jew, she had her bat mitzvah while growing up in Haiti. In 1989, the family moved to live in the US, and Jennifer started attending the State University of New York (SUNY) Geneseo in 1992.

After matriculation, she enrolled at Binghamton University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both French and English languages in 1996.

She launched her career in 1996 when she started working for the WICZ-TV network in  Binghamton,, and was part of the team until 1998 when she switched to WUHF-TV in Rochester, New York State where she stayed for one year – she then moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to work for WPHL-TV until 2002, when she began working for the Madison Square Garden Network in New York City. From 2004 to 2007, Jennifer served as the weekend morning sports anchor for the WABC-TV station before moving to NBC News in 2007 where she did a number of jobs – it was here that she met Stephanie for the first time and she was part of the network until 2015.

She took two years break before becoming the host of the “First Things First” show in 2017. Jennifer can be found on Instagram where she is currently followed by more than 100,000 people while she’s uploaded nearly 1,200 pictures onto her account.

Stephanie’s hobbies and other interests

Stephanie is very passionate about journalism which is a job that takes most of her free time as well, however, she still finds time for other things she enjoys doing and is good at.

One of Stephanie’s main hobbies is exercising, and she has four to five training session at the gym each week – as she believes mental health is as important as staying fit, Stephanie also does yoga and meditates on a daily basis. Stephanie prefers to spend her free time in the nature rather than in big cities surrounded by traffic and noise – her perfect day consists of reading a good book in the woods next to a campfire, while cooking potatoes and preparing fish.

Fun fact

When they decided to have artificial insemination done, Stephanie and Jennifer couldn’t decide which one of them was going to get pregnant, so they played the “rock, paper, scissors” game until Jennifer ‘won’ 34 to 31. The two have decided not to find out about the donor of sperm, and therefore do not know who the biological father(s) of their daughters is (are).
