While the role made him popular, Nathan nevertheless decided to leave the cast in March 2012, as his contract was expiring and he did not wish to renew it – his last episode aired on 7 March 2012, but in hope that he might agree to come back, his producers left his story open.

The fact that Nathan can’t be heard talking about girls started rumors on the internet about the popular actor being gay – while Nathan hasn’t addressed these rumors, there doesn’t appear to be any proof of Nathan being gay, nor any that he is not.
