Early life and family
Martha Sugalski was born on 22 February 1970, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA, so under the sign of Libra, and holding American nationality. Her family moved to Florida when she was a small kid, so she spent almost all her childhood living there. It is known that Martha has four siblings, three brothers and a sister. Her parents are still alive and live together; she tries to visit them whenever she has some spare time, as she is very busy working and bringing up her toddler triplets. As of 2019, she is residing in her mansion in Lake Mary, Florida, together with her husband Robert Reich and her children.
After matriculating from her local school in Florida in 1998, Martha enrolled into Florida Atlantic University, graduating from there in 2002 with a BA in Journalism.
Martha Sugalski started her career in the positions of an intern at the WPBF-TV local station in West Palm Beach, Florida, while she was still a student of her Alma Mater. She improved her skills, and moved to the position of a station reporter. Almost a year later she quit WPBF-TV to work in the team of WTVJ-TV and then WPTV-TV, holding the same positions, and then being promoted to an anchor of the channel. Martha worked there for almost 11 years, when she joined WESH 2 News, accepting the offer from the company in August 2006, and serving there as an anchor until August 2014.
She subsequently joined WFTV Channel 9 in August 2015, where she is still serving in the position of an anchor. During her career, she had a chance to show her reporting and anchoring skills, covering the Miami Heat basketball and Florida Marlins baseball teams. She also interviewed the presidents of various fashion houses, and other authorities, discovering the details of the murder of the renowned fashion designer Gianni Versace, who was found dead in his mansion located in South Beach, Florida. She also covered various natural catastrophes and disasters, such as Central Florida Wildfires, and the aftermath of several hurricanes.

Martha married for the first time when she was in her 20s, to Craig Minervini, who was a sportscaster at the local TV channel.
They gave birth to two sons, Chase and Maxwell, and a daughter, Spencer, however, they filed for divorce and officially separated on 28 July 2005. Martha didn’t lose her belief in true love, so in 2007 she went on a blind date and eventually fell in love with Robert Reich, who became her second husband on 30 May 2009, after almost two years of dating. In 2013 Martha gave birth to triplets, Heaton, Wilder and Holden, after long years of waiting for a successful pregnancy, and a painful miscarriage in 2011.
Who is Robert Reich?
Martha’s second husband, Robert Reich is a graduate of Mercer University, and has a BA in Business Administration in Finance. He is also the host of the popular podcast entitled “U Heard Me!”, and CEO at the company called NextDeal, which provides innovational sales methodologies.
Robert is also CEO at MicroTesla, the world famous company which provides calibrations and repair services for various magnetic MWD (Measurement While Drilling) tools. He is also CEO at Hydrogen on Demand.
Bringing up six kids
Martha is the proud mother of six kids, and often shares tips on parenting. Her eldest son, Chase, is now the graduate of the University of Florida, and is still studying to become a lawyer, attending Florida State University. Her son Maxwell is a hockey player, a member of the Florida Junior Blades. Her daughter, Spencer, has recently matriculated from high school, and now choosing the university to attend.
After giving birth to triplets, Martha shared her story of a painful miscarriage in 2011, after her unsuccessful usage of fertility drugs.
She felt blessed when her three kids were born healthy through a C-section. However, her daughter Holden had to stay in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) as her weight was just 2.5lbs when she was born. The five weeks Martha had to tear herself between being home with her youngest sons and visiting her daughter in the NICU were the hardest time, according to Martha’s words, as she felt so guilty leaving her newborn daughter alone. She also once shared they had some troubles with their daily routine and schedule, until they performed some sleep training with their triplets. At the end of 2014 the nursery where the triplets visited was blasted due to a gas leakage, while Martha’s kids were safe at home with their nanny. The whole family was shocked and had a hard times recovering from the thought their kids could have died in the accident.
Divorcing Robert Reich
In July 2019 Martha filed for divorce; in his 10 July petition Robert also admitted that their marriage was ‘irretrievably broken’. He also complained that Martha had removed the majority of the family photos which have him in them, and the walls had been empty ever since, creating even more pressure on their broken family life. He admitted he didn’t even know where she hid the photos, and Martha also kept silent, hinting she threw them away or even burnt them. According to the information claimed in court, Robert is now dealing with serious financial troubles, while Martha is still a well-paid specialist; this means he wouldn’t be able to pay the alimony Martha insists on. The hearings are ongoing, as of September 2019.
The process of Martha’s divorce was highlighted by the Orlando Sentinel, but the author of the source wrote a lot of letter and messages questioning how come Martha’s divorce is the news, considering the case to be fully private. However, the director of content for operations and standards, John Cutter officially explained that Martha had always been a public person, and according to a recent Orlando Weekly poll, she is the most popular anchor in town, and he was fully satisfied (as a reporter) with the way the case was highlighted.
Hobbies, favorite things and interesting facts
Martha is a big fan of sports; she likes running, participates in CrossFit competitions and supports the “Philadelphia Eagles”. She also likes blogging about her motherhood, being featured in multiple blogs and sources, supporting parents and giving some insights of her life as the mother of many children.
She doesn’t like cooking, and doesn’t spend much time in the kitchen, preferring eating out whenever she has such an opportunity. Even though it was quite hard with three babies, the family still went to cafes, admitting it became much easier as the kids grew up. The video of her toddlers making friends with the garbage collectors went viral, and attracted millions of views on YouTube. Heaton, Wilder and Holden were excited every time the garbage collector came up to their house; the kids hugged them, gave them water and helped them to collect the trash. It is worth saying that Martha makes serious efforts to teaching her triplets Spanish, as she considers it a necessity in Florida.

Martha is a pets’ adoption enthusiast. She has several dogs at her house, all of them adopted; the latest is named Fletcher. Martha was named the Children First Media Advocate of the year for her efforts to help children living in foster homes. She is worried about the situation about such kids – they often become too old for adoption, and have to live their life without any family. Martha also has two Emmy awards for her impact in journalism.
