Childhood and education
Pete’s childhood was not easy at all, as he was battling anorexia while both of his parents had health issues as well – he hasn’t talked much about them as he doesn’t want to get them involved in the media. Career of a bodybuilder and a YouTuber
Pete has a digestion rate which is slower than that of an average person. He eats nine times per day, and soon after he learned about his digestion rate disorder, he realized this could help him beat eating records.
After beating his first eating record, he continued on and started uploading his eating videos onto his YouTube channel.
He has now broken 14 Guinness World Records in competitive eating – some of these include eating seven bananas in less than two minutes, 15 hamburgers in under 10 minutes, drinking 0.75l of olive oil in under a minute, and eating 17 Jaffa Cakes in less than a minute.
After breaking all these records, Pete decided he might as well participate in “Canada’s Got Talent” – for his act, he ate five hard-boiled eggs, three Canadian bacons, and two bananas, and drank a bottle of milk all in 51 seconds, but this wasn’t enough to get him through to the next round.
Pete is the star of “The Story of Furious Pete” documentary film, which follows his life and was first shown at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival.
A dish called “The Furious Pete” is named after him – it consists of 20 pieces of bacon, 20 pieces of cheese, and five pounds of fries – Pete was the first person to eat all of that out of more than 1,500 attempts so far.

Pete battled testicular cancer twice in the past and won, but the third time came in 2017, and then he announced in January 2019 that it had come back and that he had to remove his second testicle, meaning that he will now have to undergo testosterone replacement therapy as long as he lives.
