Who is Ethan Klein?
Israeli-American YouTuber and social media star Ethan Edward Klein was born in Ventura, California USA, on 24 June 1985, making Cancer his zodiac sign. He’s perhaps known best for his YouTube channel “H3H3 Productions”, which he launched on 29 April 2011, and which is today subscribed to by more than six million people; all of Ethan’s 275 videos combined have been watched more than 1.3 billion times; he usually makes these in collaboration with his wife Hila.
Education and early life
Ethan was raised in Ventura alongside his older brother Sean and older sister Jessica, by their father Gary Klein and mother Donna; not many details have been shared about his parents and siblings, because Ethan respects their privacy. He was diagnosed with Tourette’s syndrome during childhood.
Ethan studied at Buena High School, and was into a number of activities during his four years there, as he enjoyed appearing in school plays, practicing creative writing and playing the piano. He excelled in math, and enjoyed solving mathematical problems, while he was also passionate about languages.

Ethan’s second most popular video “THESE GLASSES CURED OUR COLOR BLINDNESS!” has been watched more than 22 million times since 9 December 2016, and features Ethan and his friend as they’re trying on color blindness glasses for the first time.

Second YouTube channel
Ethan launched his second YouTube channel “H3 Podcast” on 8 April 2017, and it’s today subscribed to by nearly three million people; all of Ethan’s 907 videos combined have amassed close to 1.1 billion views. Although he was initially solely focused on interviewing celebrities, Ethan today uploads diverse content onto the channel, which includes his review, challenge and discussion videos. His #1 video “H3 Podcast #52 – Shane Dawson” has been watched close to 13 million times since 24 February 2018, and features him interviewing American internet personality, actor and moviemaker Shane Dawson, whose self-titled YouTube channel is today subscribed to by more than 19 million people.
Ethan’s second most popular video “H3 Podcast #7 – Post Malone & Joji” has been watched nearly 10 million times since 22 May 2017, and shows him interviewing famous American rapper and singer Post Malone and Japanese rapper Joji.
His #3 video “H3 Podcast #39 – Post Malone” has been viewed over 9.2 million times since 18 November 2017, and once again features him interviewing Post Malone.
Presence on the internet
Ethan’s followed by more than two million people on his personal Instagram account, and has posted over 850 pictures and videos, with most of these being comedy content. He also has a second Instagram account – “H3_Podcast” – which is followed by nearly 250,000 people and numbers more than 1,500 pictures and videos uploaded onto it.
Ethan’s personal Twitter account was launched in February 2013, and is today followed by more than 2.2 million people, while he’s tweeted over 4,100 times. His second Twitter account “The H3 Podcast” was launched in October 2017, numbers over 1,700 tweets and nearly 400,000 followers.

Love life and marriage
Ethan and his wife Hila Klein (nee Hacmon) rarely speak about their love life in public, but have still allowed their fans a glimpse into it. They met in Israel in 2007, at the Holocaust Memorial Yad Vashem; Hila was serving with the Israel Defense Forces at that time, while Ethan was on a Birthright Israel trip. Hila’s today a successful businesswoman, fashion designer and YouTuber.
Ethan and Hila exchanged vows in a private ceremony in 2012, and they lived together in Florentin, Tel Aviv, Israel during their first a couple of years together. Hila gave birth to their first son Theodore Klein on 5 June 2019, and second son Bruce followed on 2 February 2022.
Hila’s believed to be Ethan’s first love, but this hasn’t been confirmed by him; he’s married to Hila Klein (nee Hacmon) as of June 2023, and they have two sons together.

Ethan’s a brother-in-law to Israeli photographer Moses Hacmon and American YouTuber and singer Trisha Paytas, who met on his podcast.
He’s passionate about art, while some of his favorites are painting, sculpting and music; his favorite musicians and singers are Elton John, Frank Sinatra and Michael Jackson.
He and his wife are both passionate about travelling, and have been to more than 60 countries around the world, while one of Ethan’s favorite cities to visit is Jerusalem, Israel.
