Who is Alisha Lehmann?
Swiss professional soccer player Alisha Lehmann was born in Tagertschi, Switzerland, on 21 January 1999, making Aquarius her zodiac sign. She’s probably known best for the time which she’s spent playing for the English soccer team Aston Villa of the Football Association (FA) Women’s Super League (WSL), while she’s also playing for the Swiss national team.
Education and early life
Alisha was raised in Tagertschi alongside her sister Shona Lehmann and brother whose name hasn’t been disclosed, by their parents about whom Alisha’s yet to speak in public, because she respects their privacy; it’s believed that her father’s a high school soccer coach, and her mother an English language teacher.
Alisha was still attending a local elementary school when she became interested in playing soccer, and was eight when she joined her first team. She studied at a local high school in Tagertschi, and was interested in several activities during her time there, including playing soccer and basketball, running track and appearing in school plays.
Upon matriculating in 2017, she chose not to pursue a college degree but to focus on her career as a soccer player.
Alisha launched her career by joining the Swiss women’s soccer club BSC YB Frauen of the Nationalliga A, and scored 25 goals in 52 games with them.
She signed a contract with English team West Ham United of FA Women’s Super League in August 2018, after the team’s manager Matt Beard was impressed by Alisha’s performance at the 2018 UEFA Women’s U19 Championship. Her contract was extended in April 2019, after she’d played in 30 games and scored nine goals, helping her team reach the Women’s FA Cup Final.
Alisha was loaned to Everton on 27 January 2021, spending the remainder of the 2020-2021 season with them.
She was loaned to Aston Villa for the following season, playing in 23 games and scoring four goals, then signing a one-year contract with the club in July 2022.

Alisha began playing for the Swiss national soccer team in 2017, appearing in her first game in October; her first international goal was on 2 March in a game against Finland at the 2018 Cyprus Women’s Cup. She was also to play for the Swiss team at the 2022 UEFA European Women’s Football Championship, but didn’t feel ‘mentally ready’ for it, so chose not to play.
