Casey Cott is an American actor who achieved world fame with the role of Kevin Keller in the TV series “Riverdale”. He is also working on films – “All the Little Things We Kill” (2019), and “The Mascot”. Born in New York, he is the brother of the actor, Corey Cott.

Born Casey Morton Cott on the 8th August 1992, he is the middle child of Rick Cott, a former pilot with the US Air Force and an investment manager, and his wife, Lori. The Cott family moved in his childhood, and he lived in several states, but spent the majority of his early years in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, where he went to Chagrin Falls High School.

Upon matriculation he enrolled at Boston University, which he attended for two years before he switched his interest and joined Carnegie Mellon School of Drama. He finished his studies in 2016 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

Before his on-screen career started, Casey honed his skills at a local Ohio theater, making appearances in such plays as “Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson” and “Rome and Juliet”. He left Ohio for school and secured constant appearances in the regional theatre of Pittsburgh, while also working on university theater productions.

Some of his successful productions include “Parade”, performed at the New Hazlett Theater in Pittsburgh, and he was Moses in the play “The Prince of Egypt”, a musical project by Stephen Schwartz held at the Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor, New York.

On-Screen Career and Stardom

In 2016, he was chosen for the part of Kevin Keller in the TV crime-drama series “Riverdale”, though he came to the audition for the role of Jughead Jones. The series is one of the adaptions from the Archie Comics universe. Kevin Keller is known for being the first openly gay character in the history of the Archie Comics universe.

Casey started as a recurring character, and has been promoted to a main role since the second season, and has so far appeared in more than 60 episodes of the award-winning series. Casey is a new-born star in Hollywood, and is now working on a few projects.

Casey’s gay character in “Riverdale” aroused rumors of he himself being gay. However, this isn’t the case as Casey is straight. He is now single and has spoken about living the single life to the fullest. He was often linked to actress Stephanie Styles, but the two are just good friends, and nothing romantic is happening between them.

Corey Cott

Casey’s brother is Corey Cott who was born on the 30th March 1990 in Columbus, Mississippi USA. He is best known to the world as Donny in the play “Bandstand”, and as Jack Kelly in the musical “Newsies”. On-screen, Corey is known as Townsend Martin in the TV series “Z: The Beginning of Everything” (2017), and as Eric Montreaux in the TV series “Filthy Rich”.

Corey is a married man, and has one child with his wife MeghanWoollard.
