What is known is that Coby, who works out and has a good build, dark brown hair and green eyes and is 5ft 7 in (1.78 m) tall, worked as a model for Abercrombie & Finch for a year before he started YouTubing. He featured in advertisements for, amongst others, the National Football League (NFL), Fuerte Men and Mentality Magazine. He tried his hand at acting, but without much success. Yet as a result he was found via Craigslist, and featured in his first musical video in 2012. Five years later he produced the video “Reacting to my first kiss on camera,” in which he has a good laugh reflecting on that event. Coby loves fancy cars, to sing, and his dog, a half Siberian husky and half Arctic Wolf called Snow.

Is Coby Persin in a relationship?

In March 2016 Coby, who claims he’s not a very romantic guy, wanted to ask his girlfriend, Veronica, whom he had been dating five months, to move in with him. They normally took Chinese take-aways, but for this occasion Coby took her to a good restaurant where, backed by Zalman Krause on guitar and a couple of other musicians, he sang John Legend’s “All of Me” to her. He then presented her with a bunch of roses and asked her to live with him and Veronica said, ‘Yes’. Since then, it’s believed that they’re still in a relationship, but Coby has done a good job of keeping that part of his life a secret.

Coby Persin’s YouTube career

Inspired by the Russian-American YouTube personality, Vitaly Zdorovetskly, better known as VitalyzdTv, Coby launched his YouTube channel, Zipkid99, on 7th October 2010. Some of his most popular videos are “Girl Walks Around NYC In Painted On Jeans!” (Nov 2014) with almost 77 million views, ”How to Order McDonald’s Like A Boss” (April 2015 over 75 million) view and “The Dangers of Social Media (Child Predator Experiment)” (Aug 2015 over 60 million) – the latter caused an uproar amongst some parents, as it quite explicitly shows how easy one could lure kids into danger situations through social media.

Amongst Coby’s other well-known videos are “Picking Up Uber Riders In A Lamborghini Aventador!” and “Nerds Play Basketball In The Hood Like A Boss!”, which both notched up in excess of 40 million views each.
YouTube channel “Sunset Park”, a collaboration between Coby and six of his prankster friends who shared a house, ran from February until July 2017. Going back to Coby’s aforementioned public request for his girlfriend, Veronica, to move in with him in 2016, if we consider that during the “Sunset Park” time period, no mention was ever made of her, one could wonder if any young lady would choose to live with six crazy pranksters, or whether she had exited Coby’s life before the series started.

Many of Coby’s videos are apparently funny to watch, on which he plays jokes on people, or dupes particularly women by presenting himself as a wealthy charmer. Yet very often some of these and his social experiments carry a hard-hitting message. For example, the “Money Suit Social Experiment!”, in which Coby walks through the streets of New York with a suit made of money, carrying a sign saying “Take what you need”, shows wealthy, well-dressed people grabbing as much as possible just because they can and it’s free. Yet a poor guy only takes a small amount and when questioned by Coby as to why he didn’t take more, answers, “Just give it to other people”. Coby’s closing line states: “You have succeeded in life when all you really want is only what you really need.”

Is some of Coby Persin’s work fake and/or controversial?

Coby’s not afraid to create a stir, either through his hilarious pranks or the more serious social experiments. By doing so, he has often incurred the wrath of others, as was the case when he was arrested in May 2014 as shown in “Gang Fight Prank GONE WRONG (ARRESTED)”. Also when he held up traffic during a photo shoot in the middle of a busy Manhattan street in 2016, and an irate man took a bat to Coby’s gold chrome BMWi8.

This incident gained a lot of media coverage, and debates raged about whether the whole incident was for real or staged and fake. Either way, Coby, who after the incident posted further notices asking for any witnesses to come forward in the hope of identifying the perpetrator, certainly attracted a huge amount of attention from the public and media.

In the end, fake or not, Coby Persin certainly knows how to spread his fame with seemingly a disregard for whether the public reactions are positive or negative.

Coby also teamed up with Ethan and Moe Bradberry – members of the original Sunset Park crew – and DennisCeeTV to create the highly controversial Spider-man-Elsa-kids videos, which have become notoriously infamous. The videos go from weird to outright bizarre, and feature the team dressed up as comic book characters, particularly Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Frozen Elsa and the Joker. They perform ridiculous antics, many of which border on sexual and gay innuendo, vulgarity and soft porn, and are declared in many circles as totally unsavory viewing for children who might venture across them by chance.

The number of views these videos receive are off-the-charts, and have been known to rake in 80 million in one month!!

Would you like to know Coby Persin’s net worth?

The growing trend of hoodwinking and playing jokes on others and then posting them on public sites, has churned out some wealthy pranksters. Coby can be counted amongst them. According to Social Blade it is estimated that he earns as much as $170,000 annually from his own YouTube channel alone. Add to this his other income streams and projects and his spread across digital media over 10 years, if he wasn’t a big spender, splashing out on expensive vehicles, such as his BMW and also a Bentley Continental GT, which he had custom painted in rainbow colors, he would possibly be worth a substantially larger sum. However, it has been estimated by authoritative sources that Coby’s net worth as of early 2020 is over $300,000, plus previously mentioned assets.
