Born Sunny Madeline Sandler under the zodiac sign of Scorpio on 2 November 2008 – which makes her today aged 14 as of June 2023 – in Los Angeles, California USA thus she holds American nationality, and when it comes to her ethnicity, she’s from a family of Russian-Jewish descent from her father’s side and through her mother she has Italian heritage.
Speaking of her parents, her father Adam Sandler is a well-known comic actor, screenwriter and producer, and her mother Jackie (birth name Jacqueline Titon) is also an actress. The two married in 2003, and Sunny’s older sister Sadie, was born in 2006, who also followed in their parent’s footsteps and has made several notable appearances in popular comedies written and produced by their father.

Acting career
Sunny made her acting debut as Tardio’s Daughter in the 2010 comedy “Grown Ups”, written by and starring by her father, Salma Hayekagain and Kevin James, which won the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Comedy Movie.
In the following year, Sunny had a small part in “Just Go with It”, a romantic comedy starring her father Adam with Jennifer Aniston, which had 13 award nominations and five wins. Later in 2011, Sunny was seen as Little Girl on Ship in the comedy “Jack and Jill”, also starring her father, Katie Holmes and Al Pacino, but which was poorly rated by the audience (3.3/10).
Next, Sunny was seen as a Lemonade Stand Kid in the 2012 comedy “That’s My Boy”, followed by her voice role (additional) in the animated comedy “Hotel Transylvania”, which was nominated for the Golden Globe-Best Animated Feature Film.
In 2013, Sunny made an appearance as Sunny Tardio in the sequel “Grown Ups 2”, followed by her role as Wall Street Stepdaughter in the 2014 comedy “Blended”, staring her father and Drew Barrymore, which followed the story of two single parents who end up stranded together at a family resort after a terrible blind date.
Sunny followed with her appearance as Sweet Scout Girl in the 2015 comedy “Pixels”, which was nominated for the Golden Schmoes Award for Worst Movie of the Year. Later that year, Sunny was heard as Baby Dennis in “Hotel Transylvania 2”, and seen as Dancing Kid in “The Ridiculous 6”.
It seems that as Sunny grew up, so did her roles, so in 2016, she played Daisy in the adventure comedy “The Do-Over”, followed by her role as Lola in “Sandy Wexler” in 2017. In the following year, Sunny portrayed Eva in “The Week Of”, a comedy about two fathers with totally opposite personalities forced to spend the weekend together to celebrate the wedding of their children.
Later in 2018, she was heard as Sunny in “Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation”, followed by her role as Brittany in “Murder Mystery”, starring her father Adam, Jennifer Aniston and Luke Evans, which won the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Comedy Movie.

Sunny followed with roles in the 2020 movies “The Wrong Missy” and “Hubie Halloween”, and most recently, she was seen in the 2022 comedies “Home Team” and “Hustle”.
The young actress will appearas Stacy Friedman in the announced comedy “You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah”, set to be released on 25 August 2023. Sunny will star alongside her father, mother and her sister, Sadie. This will be Sunny’s first major role, in the movie which follows the story of her character, Stacy, preparing for her Bat Mitzvah when her plans are threatened with ruin. Also, in November 2023, she’ll be heard in the announced animated family comedy “Leo”, the story of a 74-year-old lizard who plans to escape from the terrarium.
Hobbies and other interests
Sunny, like many of her peers, enjoys watching movies and listening to music. Besides her father’s movies, she likes movies starring her favorite actor Timothee Chalamet, such as “Call Me by Your Name” and “Dune”.
When it comes to her favorite musicians, she’s a big fan of Taylor Swift, and Sunny’s favorite song is “Lover”. She also likes Halsey, who performed at Sunny’s Bat Mitzvah; Charlie Puth also sang at her party.
Sunny is a talented singer too; she showed her skills by performing a song from “The Greatest Showman” during one of her father’s comedy shows.
In her spare time, she likes to hang out with her friends, read books, or just chill.
