Scout has an older sister Rumer Glenn Willis (born in 1988) who is a popular actress as well, best known for her roles in movies such as “Hostage”, “The House Bunny”, and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”. She also has a younger sister named Tallulah Belle Willis, born in 1994.

Her parents named her after the main character in the novel “To Kill A Mockingbird”, written by Harper Lee. She was raised in Hailey in Idaho by her mother, as her father was away most of the time shooting for movies.

Scout made her debut film appearance in “The Scarlet Letter” in 1995 at the age of four – her mother Demi starred in the film, which is how Scout got an opportunity to appear, the story follows an affair between a young woman and a pastor which led to many problems.

In 1999, she was cast to appear in the “Breakfast of Champions” comedy film, which stars her father Bruce, and follows Dwayne Hoover (Bruce) who is a wealthy car dealership owner, and is on the brink of suicide steadily losing touch with reality. Her next role came in 2001 when she appeared in yet another film which stars her father, entitled “Bandits”, which follows two bank robbers who fall in love with the girl they’ve kidnapped. In 2012, she had a role in “Moonrise Kingdom” a comedy romance film about a pair of young lovers who run away fromtheir New England town, pursued by a search party; the movie stars Jared Gilman, Kara Hayward and Scout’s father Bruce.

It is widely known that Scout has only been allowed to appear in movies which star either her father or her mother, but she has appeared in a single TV series entitled “Miss Guided” in 2008, which stars her sister Rumer. On 24 June 1998, Bruce announced that he and Demi Moore were separating but they filed for divorce over two years later on 19 October 2000, finalizing it on the very day.

Scout has been interested in singing since a very early age, and began taking lessons when she was six, leading to her becoming a lead singer in a school choral group.
