Who is Paige Butcher?
Australian model and actress Jacinta Paige Butcher was born in Perth, Western Australia, on 10 June 1979, making Gemini her zodiac sign. She’s quite popular for her modelling career, however, Paige is perhaps known better for being the fiancé of famous American actor Eddie Murphy; he has 71 acting credits and is perhaps still known best for starring as Sherman Klump in the 1996 romantic science fiction comedy movie “The Nutty Professor”. Eddie’s won 44 of his 146 award nominations, including a 2007 Oscar nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role, for “Dreamgirls”.
Education and early life
Paige was raised alongside her sister in Perth, by their mother whose name hasn’t been disclosed but who’s a fashion designer, and father Robert Butcher who once owned a talent agency; not many other details have been shared about Paige’s family, because she respects their privacy.
She grew up being interested in a number of activities, as she took dance lessons, appeared in various plays performed at a local elementary school, and volunteered at a local dog shelter. Paige launched her acting career in 2003, when cast to play Beauty in the popular romantic comedy movie “Something’s Gotta Give”, which starred Keanu Reeves, Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson, and was written and directed by Nancy Meyers. It follows an elderly man who likes only young women, but has now, for the first time in his life, fallen for an accomplished elderly woman; the movie won eight of its 21 award nominations, including an Oscar nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role (Diane Keaton).
In 2005, Paige starred in the short documentary movie “Maxim the Real Swimsuit DVD Vol. 2”, which also starred Amber Arbucci and Shawna Christensen, and was directed by Chris Phoenix; it follows the lives of several swimsuit models.
Paige portrayed Background Model in the 2006 crime comedy movie “Big Momma’s House 2”, which starred Emily Procter and Martin Lawrence, and was directed by John Whitesell. It follows an FBI agent who’s disguised himself as an obese old lady, and the movie won one of its six award nominations.
Paige is nowadays mostly focused on raising her and Eddie’s two children, but is planning to return to modelling as soon as their son is a bit older.
Paige isn’t active on any of the popular social media networks, and many people believe this to be because her husband Eddie doesn’t want her to have an Instagram or TikTok account, but this hasn’t been confirmed.
