Early life and family
Liana Ramirez (Brackett) was born on 7 July 1986, in Temecula, California USA, so under the sign of Cancer, and holding American nationality. Her family later moved to Portland, Oregon as her father was offered work there. It’s known that her ethnicity is half Mexican, and that she tries hard to improve her Spanish speaking skills. From her early years, Liana has liked to pose in front of the cameras, and even her kindergarten profile photo looks like modeling work.
However, Liana dreamt of another profession: when she was seven years old, she was set on becoming an astronaut. She shared one of her pictures she drew for her school home task depicting Apollo 11, stars and planets, admitting that her dream lasted for a few years until she realized that she was afraid of heights.
When in high school, she wore braces on both rows of teeth, and was often anxious about that; when it was time to remove them, Liana decided to retain the lower row for a bit longer as she understood that she needed them to make her smile even more beautiful, so she overcame the anxiety and fear of wearing braces.

Liana started her career in 2008, in the position of an intern working at KCRA TV channel , while still studying in the University of California. She worked there for a year, leaving to accept an offer from the National Weather Service, located in Portland, Oregon. For more than six years she held the position of the meteorologist there, enjoying her responsibilities and improving her skills. By the end of 2015 she left the National Weather Service to start working at FOX 12, also located in Portland.
However, her presence there lasted for less than a year, as in October 2016 she left to start working for The Weather Channel in Atlanta, where she took the role of on-camera meteorologist; she’s still working there, enjoying the company of her colleagues Paul Goodloe, Matt Reagan and Felicia Combs; one can see her in the weekend morning show called “Weekend Recharge”. She is also covering the devastation of Hurricane Dorian, which is close to Cat 5 as of September 2019.

In terms of her Beauty Queen duties she volunteered many times for various foundations and nonprofit organizations such as “Big Brothers Big Sisters”, “the Women’s Community Kitchen” and many others. In 2019 she passed her crown to Sabrina Ann Frawley Zielinski, who won Mrs Georgia America title this year, congratulating her and wishing her good luck on her reign.
Personal life
As to her personal life, Liana is married to David Brackett. They met in 2013 and married in August 2015 at a private ceremony, their Spanish-style marriage being featured in the 2017 December/January edition of “San Diego Style Weddings”. The couple now lives in Marietta, Georgia. Liana doesn’t have kids, but calls herself a ‘pupparent’, as she owns two dogs named Dolce and Dasher.
Not much is known about her husband except that he’s the president of “Linguava Services”, the company providing premium translation and interpreter services. While David is a professional and certified Spanish interpreter, he’s also a Flamenco guitar player.

She has a garden where she grows figs, peaches and various flowers such as daisies and hydrangeas – her favorite flowers are roses. She once shared her school photo in which she wears sports equipment, revealing that she was actually bad at sports during her school years, and never enjoyed any sporting activities, as she was not successful at all, neither in basketball nor football. Liana is a very passionate traveler, and enjoys visiting Spanish-speaking countries; her favorite destinations are Barbados, Mexico, Spain and Portugal. She’s also enjoyed visiting France and Italy.
