Julie Banderas was born in Hartford, Connecticut USA, on 25 September 1973, so under the zodiac sign of Libra and holding America nationality – she’s mostly popular for her career of a TV reporter.
Education and childhood
Julie spent her whole childhood in Hartford with her parents Fabiola R. and Howard D. Bidwell – she has one younger sister named Melissa Bidwell, and four half-sisters – Howard Bud Bidwell, Susan Williams, Marybeth Becky Bender and Tracy Bidwell, all of whom are from her father’s first marriage. Her father died in 2010; he was an engineer, including in the US Navy – plus launching his own company – Consolidated Precast, Inc. He had three wives, with Julie’s mother Fabiola being his second.
Julie grew up being interested in journalism, fascinated by the female reporters she saw on TV – she would spend nights waiting for the news to come on, so her parents supported her passion, but still didn’t allow her to spend too much time in front of the TV. As she was growing up, she began learning about journalism and eventually took relevant classes while attending high school – after she matriculated from a local high school, she enrolled at Emerson College, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism in 19965.
Julie’s career of a reporter
Julie’s career was launched soon afterwards – her first job was for WLVI-TV station based in Boston. From there, she moved to WHSV-TV station in Harrisonburg in Virginia, and worked for them as a local news anchor – she wasn’t part of their team for too long, as she soon switched to WFSB-TV network based in her hometown of Hartford, and from there, Julie moved to WNWY based in New York City.
She climbed up the ladder after becoming a general assignment reporter for the Fox News Channel in March 2005, however, she didn’t gain recognition until she had a verbal argument with Shirley Phelps Roper, who was a spokesperson for the Westboro Baptist Church. She became popular for the words she wrote on social media after the incident – ‘These people should be arrested, and I understand the right to protest, but when you disgrace not only our fallen soldiers, but when you disgrace innocent young children, I swear. Lock ‘em up. Throw away the key. Give ‘em the death penalty. I think it‘s disgusting.’
She became an anchor for “Fox Report Weekend” show in 2008, after Laurie Dhue left the network – she took a short break in 2010 due to pregnancy, and after she came back, was given the position of a general news correspondent.
There is a bit of controversy surrounding Julie after she wrongly quoted Robert Mueller, an American lawyer and government official, stating that he said he has ‘confidence that [President Trump] clearly did not commit a crime’, while he actually said that ‘If we had confidence that the president did not commit a crime, we would have said so’.

She met her husband in 2005 after the two worked on the same project, and began dating shortly afterwards – Andrew J. Sansone is currently serving as a board of directors’ member of Habitat for Humanity, while he is also the president of Old Rock Media and Big Apple Channel. He asked his wife to marry him by putting a note in a bottle while they were on Long Island Sound digging for clams – Julie announced their engagement on TV during the “America’s Election Headquarters” on 21 September 2008.
She and Andrew exchanged their wedding vows on 29 August 2009 at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church, and Julie gave birth to their first daughter Addison Melissa on 21 April 2010 – their second daughter was born on 13 November 2012 and was named Avery Julie. The couple also has a son named Andrew Harrison, born on 9 May 2016 – the whole family is currently living in New York City.
In late 2022 Julie announced their separation, and in February 2013 that she was getting a divorce.

Julie doesn’t have much time for other things rather than her children and her job of a reporter, but she somehow manages to fit a couple of things she enjoys doing into her schedule.
