Early life, family, and education

Born Shante Monique Taylor under the zodiac sign of Scorpio on 30 October 1971, which makes her today aged 51 (as of June 2023), she’s a native of Los Angeles, California USA, holds American nationality and her ethnicity is African-American. When it comes to her educational background, she attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School, and upon matriculating in 1989, she didn’t go to college, however, this didn’t stop her to become a successful manager to her husband.
How she met Snoop Dogg? Their relationship and marriage
Shante and Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Junior, met in high school, and were sweethearts. After years of dating, they married on 14 June 1997, when they already had two children together. How Shante saved their marriage?
After four years of separation, the two reconciled and renewed their wedding vows on 12 January 2008 – reportedly, they reconnected after their daughter was diagnosed with lupus. Snoop said that the pressure of being a celebrity affected his decision to divorce, and Shante shared that he even asked her for advice before he filed for divorce.
It seems that Shante determined to let him live without her so he could realize what they had together. Snoop wanted to prove his love for Shante, so his friend, Charlie Wilson, suggested that he make a grand gesture, and renew their vows. Many later commented that Shante was wise in letting him go. In the end, as Snoop himself said, he realized that his family is the most important thing in his life.
Their marriage was again under the spotlight in 2018, when a social media star, Celina Powell, claimed that she’d had an affair with Snoop. Allegedly, she had screenshots of their conversations and revealed that they also exchanged some intimate photos. Celina also claimed that Snoop offered her $20,000 to keep quiet about their encounter.
Snoop Dogg stayed tight-lipped about these allegations, and has never addressed the rumors, while Shante’s posts at the time were, we could say, interesting. It all started with Celina’s post in which she tagged Shante, and in which, among other things, Celina said how Shante took Snoop Dogg back although he had sex with Celina. After that, Shante posted several emotional posts with a sad face and broken heart emoji.
In March 2020, Shante posted a loving picture of her and her husband, so people assumed that the couple have moved down the road from this alleged affair. One way or another, it seems that Shante’s and Snoop Dogg’s love story has a happy ending…. so far
