Eugene’s career started when he was just eight years old; he joined the Abacus agency and started appearing in theater shows, such as “Exiles” in which he played Archie. In 2003 he made his on-screen debut as Harry in the TV comedy series “My Dads the Prime Minister” (2003), while in 2004 he was Eddie in the fantasy series “Noah & Saskia”.

Eugene continued his career by portraying younger versions of lead characters, such as Young Felix Methuselah in the film “Alpha Male” in 2006, and later Young Ben Hur in the TV mini-series “Ben Hur”.
Rise to Stardom
2011 was a very profitable year for the young actor; at first, he was chosen for the part of Jerome Clarke in the TV fantasy drama series “House of Anubis”, eventually starring in all 146 episodes next to Alex Sawyer, which made him a national star.
The same year, he was selected for the part of Lancel Lannister in the highly popular TV fantasy action-drama series “Game of Thrones”, and featured in 16 episodes of the acclaimed series, which only increased his wealth and popularity. Eugene at first auditioned for the part of Joffrey Baratheon in the series, but the casting producers decided he is better suited for the part of Lancel Lannister. For this role he had to learn sword fighting and horse-riding as well, and once he was chosen Eugene started taking highly needed lessons.
In 2013, Eugene played the poet Eugene Devlin in his 20s in the film “Before I Sleep”, while the older version of the character was portrayed by David Warner.
