Early life and education

Emme was raised in Providence alongside her sister Samara Rylan, by their parents who both hold degrees in law, and wanted their daughters to attend law school as well. Emme studied at Tyrone Area High School in Tyrone, Pennsylvania matriculating in 1999. She then moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting, and shared an apartment with actress and a writer Mandy Bruno Bogue, and Alexandra Chando, an actress, producer and director.

Emme made her debut film appearance in 2006, by portraying Bethany Hopkins in “Armageddon for Andy”, and in the same year won her first notable role of Winnie in the “Bring It On: All or Nothing” American comedy film, following a team of competing cheerleaders. After that, Emme won roles in several short films such as “Impulse Black” and “History” in 2011, “”Shevenge” in 2015, and “2BR02b” in 2016.

She made her debut TV series appearance portraying Allie in the “We’re Married” episode of “Drake & Josh” in 2005, while she gained recognition after she started playing Lizzie Spaulding in “Guiding Light” on 7 February 2006. She was shooting for the show until it ended on 18 September 2009 – it’s listed in Guinness World Records as the longest running drama in TV history, for 57 years and over 18000 episodes. Hobbies and other interests

Emme is keen on knitting which is something she does nearly every day – she began when she gave birth to her first son in 2009, and has stated in an interview that knitting makes her calm and relaxed. Dancing is one of her biggest passions, as she began taking dancing lessons at the age of nine, but although she often performed while she was a teenager, she no longer dances except around her home. She is a lover of animals and has a pet cat named Cosmo, who can often be seen featured in the pictures Emme uploads onto her Instagram account.
