Elodie Yung is a French actress, who is possibly best known for her appearances in the TV series “The Cleaning Lady” and “Daredevil”, and the miniseries “The Defenders.”
Age, Early Life, and Education Background
Elodie Yung was born under the Pisces zodiac sign on 22 February 1981, in Paris, France, and so is 42 years old as of 2023. She was born to a French mother and a Cambodian father, and was brought up in Seine-Saint-Denis. Her parents survived the 1975-1979 Pol Pot massacre, where 1.5-2 million Cambodian citizens were killed by the Khmer Rouge radical communist regime, which was made up of the members of the Communist Party of Kampuchea (CPK).

During a previous interview she disclosed, ‘I’ve experienced all the food and restaurants in New Orleans. I’ve been doing a bit of touring when I have the day off, just walking in the French Quarter. To me, it’s very, very surprising how people are so friendly. But no, it’s very different from Paris.’ Her favorite dish is Seafood Paella.
She is a fitness fanatic who trained at least five times per week under Coach Derek Fisher for her role as Natchios in the TV series “Daredevil”; her workout routine consisted of deadlifts, jump ropes, bench presses and burpees.
In her spare time, “The Cleaning Lady” starlet loves listening to music, and her favorite songs are “Under Pressure” and “I Want to Break Free,” which were released in the early ‘80s by the British rock band, Queen.
Career – TV Appearances
Elodie made her TV debut with the role of Jade Perrin in the acclaimed French teen drama “La Vie Devant Nous.” She appeared in 30 episodes in 2002 and 2003 and was later cast in various other French series, including the police procedural “Les Bleus,” in which she portrayed Laura Maurier in 29 episodes. 2016 saw Elodie appear in her first American TV series, “Of Kings and Prophets” and in the same year, she made her career breakthrough when she was cast to star as Elektra Natchios in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series “Daredevil,” which aired on Netflix for three seasons. The series was created by Drew Goddard and stars Deborah Ann Woll, Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio. It’s about Matt Murdock aka Daredevil (Charlie Cox), an attorney blinded by chemicals, who is a vigilante at night – he’s trained in martial arts and has made it his responsibility to fight criminals throughout the city of Hell’s Kitchen.

In 2017, Elodie reprised her role of Elektra Natchios in the Marvel miniseries “The Defender,” which featured the cast of “Daredevil.” 2022 saw her cast to star as Thorny De La Rosa in the Fox crime drama “The Cleaning Lady”, based on the 2017 Argentinian TV series “La Chica Que Limpia.”
Film Appearances
Elodie made her film debut in the 2004 French action film “Les Fils Du Vent” (“The Sons of the Wind”). In 2011, she shared the screen with Daniel Craig in the thriller film “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” and her next notable roles were in the 2013 military sci-fi “G.I. Joe: Retaliation”, and the 2016 fantasy action, “Gods of Egypt.” Her fame skyrocketed when she was cast alongside the likes of Samuel L. In June 2018, she posted her selfie on Instagram sitting by a swimming pool in Palm Beach with her arms tightly wrapped around her bump, and captioned it ‘Surprise! My little sunshine.” On 2 August 2018, she bore Howard a daughter named Minnavan Howard. The couple is seemingly living happily together, without any rumors of separation or divorce.

Johnathan Howard was born in Lancashire, England. He began his acting career in 2001 as Scott Penney in the educational teen TV show “Looking After the Penneys.” From 2005 to 2007, he portrayed a young footballer named Moody in the British sports drama series “Dream Team.”
After graduating from LAMDA (2008-2011), he appeared in the miniseries “Titanic” in 2012, then rose to stardom for his performance in the 2013 American zombie war movie “World War Z,” which starred Brad Pitt.
