Who is Ingrid Bolsø Berdal?
Born under the sign of Pisces on the 2nd of March 1980, in Utøy, Inderøy, Norway. Ingrid Bolsø Berdal is a 39-year-old award-winning Caucasian actress of Nordic descent. She is probably best known to the general public due to her significant presence across several media outlets and on the TV screen in her numerous roles, most prominently as Atlanta in “Hercules” and Armistice in “Westworld”. She has also had a number of other successes over the course of her often lucrative acting career since 2005.
Early life: Growing up in Utøy
Ingrid was raised probably an only child right where she was born, by her father and mother of thus far unspecified names and professions. Growing up, Ingrid initially wanted to be a musician, owing to her highly sharpened hearing and sense of rhythm. At the time, she was almost right on track toward what she was born for, all she really needed then was support from her parents, which she indeed got. In time, she enrolled in the Inderøy High School of Music, where she discovered other sides of art, and decided to give acting a go at some point.
Following her matriculation in 1998, she enrolled into the University of Trondheim to study jazz singing and improvisation. After two years there, she decided that wasn’t what she really wanted in life, and so she relocated to the Norwegian capital to study acting at the Oslo National Academy for Dramatic Arts, from where she graduated in 2003 with an enviable wealth of acting experience. While there, she had very important roles in classical plays, such as Sofia in “Platonov” by Chekhov, the titular role in ancient “Antigone” by Sophocles, and another such role as Hedda in “Hedda Gabler” by Henrik Ibsen.
Career: National before international
Ingrid started working after graduation at The Norwegian Theater in Oslo, where she remained for a few years before entering her first cinematographic project. Her first year at the establishment resulted in the Hedda Award for her, which is the prestigious acting contribution acknowledgement of her theater, in the Best Debut of The Year category. Later on, she had many other significant play roles, such as the title one in “Yvonne, Princess of Burgundy” by Gombrowicz, Sasha in “Ivanov” by Chekhov and Shura in “Black Milk” by Sigarev.
Ingrid spread her area of influence a few years after graduation by also becoming a radio theater actress, and in 2005 she entered the world of film with the lead role of Carmen in a short movie entitled “Limbo”. In 2006, she was seen in another short film and her first full TV movie entitled “Pedersen: High-School Teacher” (originally “Gymnaslærer Pedersen”). She was also cast as Norunn in “Sons”, but definitely her most important appearance from this year was the lead role of Jannicke in “Cold Prey”. This film didn’t only make a great contribution to her fame, it also allowed her to show the world exactly how good she is in front of the camera.
The warm years after “Cold Prey”
A year later Ingrid was featured in her first TV mini-series, as Katinka Bjørstad in “Kodenavn Hunter”, for a total of six episodes. She also appeared as Eva in “Eva og Adam”, a show meant to describe the reasons for male and female behavior, but it seemed to be discontinued after the first episode. She was also seen as Siri in two episodes of “Thomas P.”, and as a receptionist in the short film entitled “Tyvstart”. In 2008 she had three roles, two of which were reappearances – Jannicke in “Cold Prey 2” and Katinka Bjørstad in an episode of “Kodenavn Hunter 2”.
Most importantly, though, she had another lead role this year, as Aina in “House of Fools”. 2009 showed her in just one project – Kristin in “Betrayal”. 2010 then exploded for her, with five more roles to put under her belt. She was Sergeant Angua in two episodes of the “Going Postal” mini-series, Ingrid in four episodes of “Hjerte til hjerte”, Nina in “Wide Blue Yonder”, and two more short film appearances. In 2011, besides being Herdis Snartemo in “I Travel Alone”, she also had her first voice-lending experience in “Kvinnefrisen”.
Expanding beyond Norway
In 2012, Ingrid took her spot among the stars as an exceptional actress, as it became an apparent routine for her to grab the lead role or the second most important one, which is exactly what happened this year. She was the main character as Dagmar in “Escape”, and took the lead role of Zoe in “Chernobyl Diaries”. She also gave her voice again, to “The ABCs of Death” – a very prominent horror franchise. Lastly, she was among the three main characters in seven episodes of “Hellfjord”. In 2013, she was seen in “Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters”, and two other less popular films.

2014 was a super successful year for Ingrid, in which she appeared as the only female warrior named Atlanta in “Hercules”, besides another short film and an episode of a Norwegian TV series. It was around this time that Ingrid chose to look to foreign horizons somewhat more, as is evident later on. She was already a superstar in her own country, and with an established name in acting, she had everything necessary to be featured abroad, which already happened in “Hercules”. In 2015, she appeared in three more Norwegian titles, two short videos and a film.
Her latest three years in the business
In 2016, she was seen as Armistice in six episodes of the super popular Anthony Hopkins TV series entitled “Westworld”, in which, after the lead role of Jade in “Forget About Nick” in 2017, she appeared again 2018, in another five episodes. This year she was also seen in a short film, and three episodes of “Kielergata” as Iris. Finally, she is to be seen in, you’ve guessed it, yet another lead role, this time as Sonja Wigert in the Norwegian film entitled “The Spy”, which is still in post-production. This makes for a total of 39 acting credits for Ingrid, and she remains active in the business still.

Love life: Does she have a husband and a family?
When it comes to Ingrid Bolsø’s romantic involvements, she tends to keep her personal life, well, personal, and thus she hasn’t yet taken the opportunity to inform the media and her fans about her relationship status. Even so, she is known to be with someone right now, a man of complete mystery whom the public can see in her posts, such as this one. The man in this picture is seen watering the plants, probably in her (their) bedroom, and according to that, one can assume that she indeed has a husband, though according to the lack of such posts, she does not yet have children. Still, the true definition of their union is unknown for now – he may just be her long-term boyfriend whom she moved in with, they may be engaged, and they may be a wedded couple. Until Ingrid (or her partner) decides to disclose the true nature of her love life to the public, she will be considered taken.
