Life and Career
Bobbi is a very private person, preferring not to share any personal information with the media. She is connected to the fashion industry, and previously worked as a sales manager, overseeing logistics in her fashion companies. She became associated with Marcus during a business rendezvous where business minded people would meet for investments, sales, and the like.
It was revealed that he bought her business, and the two began collaborating frequently from then, developing their relationship.
She supports her husband’s business endeavors and has a stake in several of his businesses. She still remains in control of her fashion business, which was renamed to the ML Fashion Group or Marcus Lemonis Fashion Group. The company is an agency that represents various fashion brands. The company collaborates often with MARCUS retail stores, helping them make deals with global fashion brands, though the company has recently been inactive, with their website no longer available.
Husband – Marcus Lemonis
Marcus grew up in Beirut, Lebanon at a chaotic time due to civil war and invasions by foreign powers. He was abandoned at an orphanage, and was later adopted by a couple who were living in Miami, Florida. At a young age, he became exposed to the automotive industry, thanks to his grandfather who owned two large Chevrolet dealerships in the US. This helped him connect to family friend Lee Iacocca, who would become a mentor to him in business.
He attended Christopher Columbus High School located in Miami-Dade County and after matriculating, enrolled at Marquette University where he took up a degree in political science. After his graduation, he briefly tried his hand at politics, running as a Democrat for a seat in the Florida House of Representatives but was unsuccessful. He returned to the automotive industry, working for his grandfather’s car dealership which was acquired by AutoNation 1997. Under the new ownership, he worked in sales and managerial duties before Iaccoca approached him with the idea of creating a large RV chain.
Lemonis’ Business Success
With the idea firmly in his mind, Iaccoca helped Lemonis acquire Holiday RV Superstores, which he served as CEO for two years. He then co-founded the company FreedomRoads and began to acquire RV dealerships, uniting them under one banner. In 2006, the company merged with Camping World with him as the CEO, and would later merge with Good Sam Enterprises, retaining his role as well. Camping World specializes in selling recreational vehicles (RVs), including parts, services, and company supplies. It became publicly traded in 2016, raising its stock to $251 million, and elevating his wealth significantly.
The company now operates in 36 states, and is the world’s largest supplier of RV parts and supplies. Camping World began sponsoring NASCAR teams too, leading to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Some of their recent acquisitions include retailer Gander Mountain, and online retailer The House Boardshop. He has also invested in other businesses, including Rose’s Wheat Free Bakery & Café, Crumbs Bake Shop, ProFit Protein Bars, Mr. Green Tea, Dapper Classics, and many more which are all under his holding company Marcus Lemonis Enterprises.
