He spent his childhood on a dairy farm near Loch, with his two brothers Rhett and Aidan, and became interested in performing arts from an early age, and would start his career at the young age of 12. He went to Mary Mackillop College Leongatha, where he was a part of the Leongatha Lyric Theatre. He would later study for a Bachelor of Acting at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in Perth, Western Australia.

Career Beginnings

Angus’ career started by chance in 2000 with the part of Jason Cassidy in the TV series “Something in the Air”.

With no prior experience, Angus auditioned for the role, and from 2000 to 2001 appeared in seven episodes of the award-winning drama series. In 2002, Angus took another step forward with the part of Jamie Clarke in the long-running soap opera “Neighbours”, while two years later he played Degenhardt Bell in 26 episodes of the TV sci-fi series “Silversun”.

Rise to Prominence

It was in 2006 that he was cast in the role that gave him the boost he needed; Angus began portraying Lewis in the TV fantasy drama series “H20: Just Add Water” (2006-2010), eventually starring in 66 episodes of the award-winning series.

Furthermore, Angus joined another long-running soap opera, “Home and Away” in 2018, and has appeared in 18 episodes so far.
