Early life and education
Adrienne grew up in California, raised by her mother, a journalist, and her father who was a businessman. She is of at least part-African-American descent as her mother is African-American. She became interested in journalism because of her mother, and after matriculating from a high school in Los Angeles, Adrienne enrolled at the University of Southern California, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in communications and media studies in 2002.

Career as a reporter
Adrienne launched her career as a reporter in 2004, when she joined the KCRA TV network and began working as their traffic anchor. She spent several years at the station working on her skills, and was eventually promoted to the position of a reporter, news anchor, and a TV host. She covered some major stories such as the Japanese earthquake and tsunami in 2011, Governor Jerry Brown’s run for office in 2010 as well the entire case of Jaycee Dugard, the missing child. After eight years at the network, Adrienne quit and started working for KTVT in January 2012 when she was offered a position of an anchor and the host of their “CBS 11 News This Morning” as well as “CBS 11 News at 11” shows.
Adrienne was a member of the KTVT team for three years before she started working for KABC in Los Angeles, as their reporter and a fill-in anchor. On 15 May 1997, ABCNews.com was launched by ABC News Internet Ventures as a joint venture between ABC and Starwave Corporation. The website started off with several employees and it counts 30 people today, it features articles as well as short videos and audio recordings.
ABC’s newest addition to the network is ABC News: Live streaming media service which is available through several subscription video on demand services such as Roku and Hulu. ABC News: Live is a 24/7 streaming video news channel mostly used for breaking news and live events, and it was officially launched on 14 May 2018.
