Early life and education
Motoki was mostly raised in Akron, but also spent three years in Japan as he and his Japanese mother moved there when Motoki was around six years old. The channel so far counts nearly 350,000 subscribers and almost eight million views combined of all his videos. His second channel as well as the one which made him popular on the internet was launched on 26 April 2014, entitled “Moretoki” – Motoki uploads random vlogs, skits, challenges, tags, collaborations, and ‘other shenanigans’. It counts over 1.58 million subscribers and more than 122 million views combined of his videos.
Two of Motoki’s most popular videos on YouTube are “Crazy Voice Impressions” which counts over 4.5 million views, and “Songs in Real Life Spring Edition” which counts more than 35 million views.
Motoki is also an Instagram star and his account is currently followed by nearly 500,000 people. While Motoki hasn’t commented on his sexuality nor the girls he has dated in the past, he uploaded a picture onto his Instagram account featuring him hugging a mysterious girl on 14 February 2016, with a caption reading ‘Be Mine’ but didn’t specify if the girl was his girlfriend or not.
On 6 March 2016, he uploaded another picture with the girl, this time on a yacht and many people believed that the two might be involved in a romantic relationship. It is also believed that Motoki was dating his high school sweetheart for over two years before the two split due to jealousy issues, as Motoki has numerous female fans who message him on a daily basis on several of his social media accounts.

Motoki’s main hobby is travelling, and he has been to numerous countries and cities around the world while he has also lived in several places for several months or years, including Japan and Germany.
He has visited the Eiffel Tower in Paris – the city is his favorite destination out of all the places he has been to. He is a fan of coffee and drinks several cups every day while he is also keen on tasting various cuisines, with his favorites being Mexican and Chinese. He likes summer the most as he enjoys going on boat and ship trips, as well as swimming in seas and oceans.
