Early life and education
Motoki was mostly raised in Akron, but also spent three years in Japan as he and his Japanese mother moved there when Motoki was around six years old. Motoki has a younger sister who is also trying to make a career for herself on YouTube. Motoki grew up wanting to become an actor and a comedian, and dedicated his free time to creating videos and uploading them onto his YouTube channel, partly becoming what he dreamed of.

The channel so far counts nearly 350,000 subscribers and almost eight million views combined of all his videos. His second channel as well as the one which made him popular on the internet was launched on 26 April 2014, entitled “Moretoki” – Motoki uploads random vlogs, skits, challenges, tags, collaborations, and ‘other shenanigans’. It counts over 1.58 million subscribers and more than 122 million views combined of his videos.
Two of Motoki’s most popular videos on YouTube are “Crazy Voice Impressions” which counts over 4.5 million views, and “Songs in Real Life Spring Edition” which counts more than 35 million views.
Motoki is also an Instagram star and his account is currently followed by nearly 500,000 people. Motoki is an actor as well, as he has appeared in the “Broken” drama (“Gold Rush”) in 2015 which follows Parker Schnabel as he takes on a massive wash-plant move on his own, while Todd races to set up a new trommel.

While Motoki hasn’t commented on his sexuality nor the girls he has dated in the past, he uploaded a picture onto his Instagram account featuring him hugging a mysterious girl on 14 February 2016, with a caption reading ‘Be Mine’ but didn’t specify if the girl was his girlfriend or not.
On 6 March 2016, he uploaded another picture with the girl, this time on a yacht and many people believed that the two might be involved in a romantic relationship. It is also believed that Motoki was dating his high school sweetheart for over two years before the two split due to jealousy issues, as Motoki has numerous female fans who message him on a daily basis on several of his social media accounts.

Motoki’s main hobby is travelling, and he has been to numerous countries and cities around the world while he has also lived in several places for several months or years, including Japan and Germany.
