Moon Byul-yi was born in Buncheon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, on 22 December 1992 – her zodiac sign is Sagittarius and she holds South Korean nationality. She is a rapper/singer, songwriter, and an actress best known for being a member of the South Korean girl group Mamamoo.

Early life and education

Moonbyul was raised with her two younger sisters named Seulgi and Yesol in her hometown, by their father who is a programmer, and mother who is a housewife. She became interested in singing at the age of six and started taking singing lessons, as well as learning how to play the guitar.

After her matriculation from high school, she enrolled at Paekche Institute of the Arts for media music and vocals in 2011, later stating in an interview that she didn’t expect to be accepted because of how prestigious the school is.
