LaToya was born in Los Angeles, California USA, on 23 April 1997 – her zodiac sign is Taurus, and she holds American nationality. She’s an actress, model and social media star, who’s probably known best for her portrayal of Diana Tejada, one of the main characters in the popular crime drama series “Power Book II: Ghost”. It was created by Courtney A. Kemp, also stars Michael Rainey Jr. and Shane Johnson, and is a sequel of the series “Power”, which follows Tariq who has become involved with the drug smuggling Tejada family; “Power Book II: Ghost” has been airing since 2020, and has won five of the 10 awards for which it has been nominated.
Early life and education
LaToya was raised in Los Angeles by her parents, about whom only little is known, because she respects their privacy; it’s believed that her father works at a local grocery store, and that her mother’s a housewife, while both can be seen featured in some of LaToya’s Instagram pictures. Because she hasn’t spoken of having any siblings, fans believe her to be an only child.
She became interested in acting at a quite an early age, mostly because she used to watch movies and TV series with her parents nearly every day.
Her father began taking her to auditions when she was 11, and she was 12 when she launched her career with her portrayal of Party Girl in the 2009 comedy movie “Becoming Pony Boi”. It was written and directed by Sergio Myers, who also starred in it, alongside Amy Weber and Beate Antares. The film follows Hollywood director Jackie Stein, who has decided to try and become a rap superstar – it won two awards.
LaToya then focused on her education, and had no other roles until she matriculated from a local high school in 2015; she was physically quite active during those years, and played several sports for her school’s teams.

In 2015, LaToya played Lady in Casino in the action crime comedy “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2”, directed by Andy Fickman, and which starred Kevin James, Raini Rodriguez and Eduardo Verastegui. It follows security guard Paul Blart who has gone on a vacation with his family, and the movie won one of the 10 awards for which it was nominated.
The same year saw LaToya portray Jasmine Pierce in the crime horror thriller “Dutch Hollow”, and in 2016, she played Bridesmaid in the romantic comedy “The Perfect Match”. It was directed by Bille Woodruff, starred Terrence Jenkins, Cassie Ventura and Paula Patton, and follows playboy Charlie who has fallen in love with Eva.

LaToya made her debut TV series appearance in the 2018 episodes “Where the Heart Is” and “Turks & Caicos” of the critically acclaimed romantic drama “The Fosters”, created by Bradley Bredeweg and Peter Paige, and which starred Teri Polo, Sherri Saum and Hayden Byerly. It follows teenager Callie Jacob who has been placed in a foster home run by two lesbians, the series aired between 2013 and 2018, and won seven of the 39 awards for which it was nominated.
LaToya’s only other TV series role has been her portrayal of Tara Byrd in five episodes of the crime drama “The Oath”, created by Joe Halpin, and which starred Ryan Kwanten, Katrina Law and Cory Hardrict.
