Who is Riley Curry?
American celebrity child and TV personality Riley Elizabeth Curry was born in Charlotte, North Carolina USA, on 19 July 2012, making Cancer her zodiac sign. She’s perhaps only known for being a daughter of Stephen Curry, an American professional basketball player who’s currently playing for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Education and early life
Riley’s being raised in Charlotte alongside her younger sister Ryan Carson Curry and brother Canon W. Jack Curry, by their father Stephen and mother Ayesha Disa Curry (nee Alexander), who’s a Canadian-American actress and cookbook author.
Riley’s currently attending a local elementary school in Charlotte, and should only be progressing to high school in 2026; she’s interested in a couple of school activities, which include acting with its drama club and playing soccer.

Wardell Stephen Curry II was born in Akron, Ohio USA, on 14 March 1988, making Pisces his zodiac sign. He’s regarded as one of the best NBA players of all time; Stephen’s been named NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) twice, and his teams have won four NBA championships.
Stephen was raised alongside his brother Seth Curry in Charlotte by their father Dell Curry, who was an American former professional basketball player; Seth’s today also a professional basketball player, and is playing for the Brooklyn Nets of NBA. Stephen and Seth’s mother Sonya Alicia Curry is an American educator.
The family spent a year or two in Toronto, Ontario, Canada where Dell played for the Toronto Raptors of the NBA, while Stephen studied at Queensway Christian College, playing for their basketball team; he was also a member of the basketball team Toronto 5-0, leading them to a 33-4 record. The family moved back to Charlotte after Dell’s retirement, and Stephen attended Charlotte Christian School, matriculated in 2006, and then enrolled at Davidson College.
Stephen scored 15 points in his first game with the Davidson Wildcats, while the second game saw him score 32 points; he completed the season with 21.5 points per game, thus leading the Southern Conference in scoring. The Wildcats won 29 of their 34 games during Stephen’s freshman year, and he was named Southern Conference Freshman of the Year at the end of the season, also named to the All-SoCon First team, All-Freshman team and the SoCon All-Tournament team.
He led the Southern Conference in scoring again during his second year, and was named the 2008 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Tournament Most Outstanding Player of the Midwest Region, even though the Wildcats didn’t make it to the Final Four.
Stephen surpassed 2000 points of his college career on 3 January 2009, and during his third and final season with the Wildcats, he averaged 28.6 points and 5.6 assists per game. He then made himself eligible for the NBA Draft, so only graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in sociology in May 2022.
Stephen was selected by the Golden State Warriors on 25 June 2009 as the seventh overall pick, and played in 80 games of the 2009-2010 season; in January, March and April 2010, he was named Western Conference Rookie of the Month, becoming the only rookie to win the award thrice. He was an NBA All-Rookie First Team selection, but lost the NBA Rookie of the Year Award to Tyreke Evans.
He played 74 games of the 2010-2011 season, and won the NBA Sportsmanship Award; Stephen played in only 26 games of the 2011-2012 season because of the NBA’s fourth and most recent lockout.
He signed a new four-year $44 million contract with the Warriors before the start of the 2012-2013 season; he played in 78 games and was in April 2013 named Western Conference Player of the Month. Stephen played 78 games of the following season, and was once again named Western Conference Player of the Month (April).
The Warriors’ welcomed their new head coach Steve Kerr for the 2014-2015 season, and he led them to their first NBA Championship title in 40 years. They started off the 2015-2016 season by winning all 16 games, then won the following eight games, as well; the strike was broken when the Warriors lost to the Milwaukee Bucks. They reached the NBA Finals again, but were defeated by the Cleveland Cavaliers; the Warriors then won the NBA Championship for the second time under Steve Karr in 2017.
The same year saw Stephen sign a new five-year $201 million contract with the Warriors, and in 2018, they defeated the Cavaliers in the NBA Finals, becoming the champions thrice under Karr.
They reached the NBA Finals again in the 2018-2019 season, but lost to the Toronto Raptors.
Stephen suffered a serious injury on 30 October 2019, breaking his second metacarpal in a game against the Phoenix Suns, and he only returned to basketball on 5 March 2020, when the Warriors lost to the Raptors.
The Warriors reached the NBA Finals again in the 2021-2022 season, winning against the Boston Celtics; Stephen was named NBA Finals MVP.
He married his long-term girlfriend Ayesha Alexander in a private ceremony on 30 July 2011, and Stephen purchased a $31 million home in Atherton, California in July 2019. Both he and Ayesha are deeply religious Christians.
He’s also passionate about golf and soccer; he cheers for the British soccer club Chelsea.
