Who is Elijah Blue Allman?
He’s probably known best as the son of famous parents, Cher and Gregg Allman, however, Elijah Blue Allman has managed to make a name for himself as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the band Deadsy.

Early life, family, and education
Born under the zodiac sign of Cancer on 10 July 1976, in Los Angeles, California USA, Elijah holds American nationality and comes from a family of English, Irish, German and Armenian descent. He was raised by his mother, Cher, who divorced his father in 1979. Elijah has a half-brother, Chaz, from his mother’s marriage to Sonny Bono – Chaz Bono, born Chastity Sun Bono, is a trans man.
When it comes to Elijah’s educational background, he attended Hyde School, and upon matriculating from high school in 1994, he didn’t go to college.
Music career
Elijah had an interest in music from an early age, which isn’t surprising since he was raised by the ‘Goddess of Pop’. Elijah got his first guitar as a present from Gene Simmons, the legendary Kiss bassist. Aged 13, Elijah toured with his mother as a guitarist.
After high school, he auditioned for the spot of guitarist for the band Nine Inch Nails, however, Elijah end up losing the spot to Robin Finck.
In 1995, Elijah, Alec Puro and Josh Abraham founded the band Deadsy, and started recording a handful of demos. Their debut self-titled album was released in 1996, but didn’t gain much success, Two years later, Craig Riker joined the trio as the bassist; the band describes its style as ‘undercore’.
Their second album, entitled “Commencement” was released in May 2002, and it debuted at number 100 on the Billboard 200 chart. In 2006, the band released its third album, “Phantasmagore”, but In the following year, Elijah released a short statement revealing that the band was taking an hiatus.
In July 2020, Elijah announced that the band, now stylized as DÆDSY, is working on their fourth album, “Subterfugue”, however, to date, the album hasn’t been released.

Love life and wife
Elijah has been the subject of various speculations about his love life, and it’s known that he was in a relationship with some very popular ladies. Back in 1997, he dated Bijou Phillips, an actress and the daughter of the musician John Phillips and Genevieve Waite, also an actress and model.
In 1998, Elijah was in a relationship with Kate Hudson, the famous “Fool’s Gold” actress.
Also in the late ‘90s, Elijah was romantically linked to Heather Graham, another popular actress, and there have also been rumors about his secret relationship with Paris Hilton, a media personality, actress, and model.
From 2000 through 2002, Elijah was in a relationship with Nicole Richie, the star of the series “The Simple Life”, and former best friend of Paris Hilton.
Elijah met his future wife, Mariangela King, on a blind date, and although the two haven’t shared when they met, their romance blossomed into marriage. The wedding ceremony was held on 1 December 2013, in front of the fireplace in their newly-bought house. They invited just a few friends, and it seems that his mother didn’t like the idea of a secret wedding, as Elijah shared that she never congratulated them.
Mariangela King – also known as ‘Queenie’ – is the singer of the English band, KING. The band, consisting of five siblings, Mariangela, Trillion, Lucius, Ruby and Jazzy, was founded in 1997. All of them were homeschooled by their father, Michael Jaffray King, and their mother, Irmgard King, being raised in over 30 countries throughout the world. Mariangela was born on 16 July 1987 in Bombay, India.
Let’s get back to Elijah’s and Mariangela’s story, which ended in April 2020. The two separated, and Elijah filed for divorce in 2021. He hasn’t spoken about the reason for their separation.

Elijah is 46 years old, and is known for his trademark red hair. Regarding his appearance, he’s a tall guy who stands at a height of 6ft 1in (1.85m) and weighs around 175lbs (80kgs). Born Cherilyn Sarkisian under the zodiac sign of Gemini on 20 May 1946, she recently celebrated her 77th birthday. A native of El Centro, California US, a daughter of an Armenian-American truck driver, John Sarkisian, and his wife, Jackie Jean Crouch, better known by her stage name Georgia Holt, a former actress and model. Her parents divorced when Cher was ten months old, and her mother remarried to John Southall, an actor. From this marriage, Cher has a half-sister, Georganne.
Cher gained fame in 1965 as part of the duo Sonny & Cher when their single “I Got You Babe” peaked in first place on the US and UK Charts. Briefly about Elijah’s father, Gregg Allman
Born Gregory LeNoir Allman under the zodiac sign of Sagittarius on 8 December 1947, this singer-songwriter and musician was a native of Nashville, Tennessee, where he spent most of his early days. Later, his mother sent him and his brother Duane to Castle Heights Military Academy, in Lebanon, Tennessee.
Gregg gained fame playing with his brother in The Allman Brothers Band, which the two founded in 1969, later joined by Dickey Betts, Berry Oakley, Jaimoe and Butch Trucks. In the beginning, the band struggled, and their debut self-titled album didn’t achieve much success, as well as their second album “Idlewild South” (1970). Sadly, Gregg’s brother Duane was killed in a motorcycle accident on 29 October 1971.
After Duane’s death, the band continued working, and completed their third album, “Eat a Peach”, released in February 1972, which peaked at number four on Billboard’s album chart – the band had achieved mainstream success.
When Gregg married Cher, they lived in Hollywood and were one of the favorite couples, especially tabloid favorites. After their divorce, Gregg’s alcohol abuse was at one of its worst points, which affected both his personal and professional life. Although he continued touring and playing music, he didn’t regain the success he had in the early ’70s.
Before his marriage to Cher, Gregg was in a marriage with Shelley Kay Jefts, in 1971 and ‘72 with whom he has one son, Devon. In the following year, he married Janice Blair, but this marriage ended in divorce after a year. As mentioned, from 1975 to 1979, Gregg was in a marriage with Cher.
Then, Gregg married Julie Bindas in 1979 but they divorced two years later. They have a daughter together, Delilah Island Allman, born in 1980. In 1989, Gregg married Danielle Galliano, and this marriage lasted until 1994. His sixth wife was Stacey Fountain, whom he married in 2001, and divorced seven years later. In 2012, Gregg announced his engagement to Shannon Williams, who was 40 years younger than him. They married in February 2017.
Besides Elijah, Devon, and Delilah, Gregg had two more children; his first son, Michael, was born in 1966, and his youngest child, Layla Brooklyn Allman in 1993. Her mother is Gregg’s ex-girlfriend, Shelby Blackburn.
In 2007, Gregg was diagnosed with hepatitis C, and by the next year with liver cancer. He underwent a liver transplant in 2010. Six years later, rumors began about Gregg entering hospice care, which he denied. However, due to complications from liver cancer, Gregg died on 27 May 2017, at his Richmond Hill, Georgia home. He was aged 69.
Gregg was buried at Rose Hill Cemetery beside his brother.
