Who is Miranda Pak?
Miranda “Mira” Pak was born on 1 June 1977, in California, USA, and is a former model as well as a businesswoman, but perhaps best known for being the former wife of actor Terrence Howard. While the couple broke up, they later reunited, and are engaged to remarry sometime in the future.
The Net Worth of Miranda Pak
Miranda Pak’s net worth is reputed to be over $6 million, earned through success in business and modeling.
She probably benefits from the success of her fiancée too, if necessary, who has a net worth estimated to be over $5 million.
Life, Career, and Relationship
Miranda grew up in California and became interested in modeling at a young age. After matriculating from high school, she enrolled at New York University. NYU is one of the most well-known universities in New York, having numerous high-profile alumni to its name. The school also has degree-granting campuses all around the world.
After completing her studies, she then tried her hand at modeling work, though didn’t make a significant impact. The biggest step she made during her career was work with “Model Vanity” magazine, appearing in their event called HIN or Hot Import Nights. She transitioned into business, and became the owner of a Santa Ana, California-based Shabu Shabu bar.
She continued to live out of the spotlight even after she started dating Terrence Howard.
He had been married twice at this point, firstly to Lori McCommas (1989-2003), then to Michelle Ghent (2010-2013). Miranda met the actor while at a restaurant having lunch with an old boss, when he approached the table, professing his attraction to her. They started a relationship that quickly became a marriage three months later.
Ex-Husband and Fiancée – Terrence Howard
Terrence was born in 1969 and is of Anglo-African ancestry, with both his parents being biracial.
He grew up in Cleveland and had a very troubled childhood, experiencing physical abuse from his father, and even witnessed his father murder another man when he was a child. His father was imprisoned, and Terence tried to move away from him, using acting as an outlet later on.
His first television appearance was in the miniseries “The Jacksons: An American Dream”, which led to his film debut entitled “Mr. Holland’s Opus”.
During the late 1990s up to the early 2000s, he worked on television and film, mostly in minor roles – some of his projects during this period included “The Best Man” and “Family Rappers”. In 2005 he was cast in “Hustle & Flow” playing a rapper, in which he performed all of the tracks, which led to an Academy Award win for Best Original Song. He also ventured towards production, working on the film “Pride” before becoming the narrator for the show entitled “Independent Lens” which aired on PBS. The show featured numerous documentaries during its run.
Terrence Howard’s Success
In 2008, Howard signed a contract to play the Marvel Comics character Jim Rhodes, who would become the superhero War Machine. He worked on the 2008 film “Iron Man” but was later replaced by actor Don Cheadle, reportedly because of a significant pay cut in the sequel, and it is not known if he or Marvel withdrew from the contract. Following “Iron Man”, he continued to have prominent roles in films.
He also ventured to other projects, creating an album called “Shine Through It” before making his debut on Broadway in a production of “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof”.

However, his run on stage was short-lived after he had an altercation with musical composer Tex Allen, which led to multiple injuries and a lawsuit filed by Allen against him.
In 2010 he returned to television with the show “Law & Order: Los Angeles”, playing the character of Deputy District Attorney Joe Dekker. However, the show was short-lived, being canceled after a season. In 2015, he got one of his most prominent television roles in the show “Empire”, in which he portrayed hip-hop mogul Lucious Lyon – his character discovers that he is dying and must take action to make sure that his musical empire survives past his death.
He earned a lot of acclaim, but in 2019 he announced that he was retiring from acting, following the end of “Empire”.
Pak experienced a lot of trouble during her first marriage with Howard, stemming from the fact that Howard was obsessed with his number theory he patented as Terryology, which argued that 1 x 1 = 2 – his faulty reasoning and logic has been criticized numerous times by his followers. He was obsessed with it and forced Miranda to work on the system, creating numerous plastic wires in a day to prove that his logic is correct.
She later admitted that she was lonely in her marriage, as she never left their home and didn’t have any friends. She also criticized his lack of effort in the relationship, as he never took her out or gave her any gifts. They separated in 2014 and divorced the following year while she was pregnant with their first child.
A year later the two reconnected, and were spotted going to red carpet events together. They continued their relationship and started living together in Chicago. They had another child, and in 2018 announced that they were engaged once more, and are set to remarry.
