He sold it to CompuServe in 1990 for $6 million, as the company became quite successful. He went on to start Audionet with Todd Wagner in 1995 which became Broadcast.com in 1998. In three years, the company had 330 employees and was sold to Yahoo! for $5.6 billion in Yahoo! Stocks. On 24 September 2003, Mark purchased Landmark Theatres, and over the course of years has also invested his money in a variety of startups, such as Shark Tank and Magnolia Pictures among others.
