Shay Shariatzadeh was born in Vancouver, British Colombia Canada, in 1989 – she is an engineer and a product manager, but popular when she became the girlfriend of John Cena, a famous World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) wrestler. Shay follows the Islamic religion and holds Canadian nationality.
Early life and education
Shay spent her childhood in Vancouver, where she was raised by her mother, who works as a surgeon in a hospital there. Shay has an older brother whom she credits with her passion for engineering – she saw the project he made for his engineering class, and then chose to follow in his footsteps. She studied at the University of British Columbia, and graduated in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering.

Shay actually launched her career after she matriculated from high school, by working as a sales associate for the “La Vie En Rose” clothing brand. She stayed with them until September 2009, when she began working for “Guess” as their sales associate, through to May 2011. From September 2012 to April 2013, she worked for Alpha Technologies Ltd. as their engineering peer advisor – she also performed numerous other duties at the company such as software testing, and served as both electrical and applications engineer. Shay is currently working as a product manager for Avigilon, which is a security systems service based in Vancouver, but often travels with her husband.

Shay and John Cena were first seen together in public on 3 March 2019, sitting together at the Thierry dessert shop. Not long afterwards, on 27 March 2019, the two were seen walking hand in hand in the streets of Vancouver. John and Shay married in a deliberately low key ceremony in Florida in 2020.

John was raised by John Felix Anthony Cena and Carol, and has an older brother named Stephen, and three younger brothers called Dan, Matt, and Sean.
