Ruth Kearney is an Irish film and TV actress, who is possibly best known for her appearance in the TV series’ “Primeval,” “The Following,” and “Flaked.”

Ruth Delia Kearney is a native of London, England, born under the Scorpio zodiac sign on 11 November 1984, which makes her 38 years old as of 2023. Her parents’ names and professions are unknown; they relocated to Dublin, Ireland, when she was five years old – it is reported that they are divorced and her father is now married to a mysterious Californian woman. Career
While at the Theater School, Ruth appeared in various plays such as “Three Sisters,” “On the Razzle” and “Othello.” She made her film debut in 2009, with the portrayal of Miriam in “Gracie!” In 2011 and 2012, she starred as Jess Parker in the British sci-fi TV program “Primeval,” which aired on ITV; the series follows the story of a group of scientists tasked with investigating the mysterious appearance of futuristic and prehistoric creatures, which invade Earth with a mission of ending all life. It was created by Adrian Hodges and Tim Haines, and stars Andrew-Lee Potts, Hannah Spearritt and Douglas Henshall. Concurrently, Ruth appeared in two episodes of the British medical drama TV series “Holby City”, and the Christmas TV special “Fast Freddie, The Widow and Me” both in 2011.
2014 saw Kearney make a guest appearance as Katharina in several episodes of the American political TV drama series “Tyrant.” In the year that followed, she landed the recurring role of Daisy in the American crime thriller series “The Following”, in which a psychotic, brilliant, and charismatic serial killer comes up with a way of communicating with other serial killers, and creates a cult of believers, who are willing to do anything he commands them to. The series starred Kevin Bacon, Shawn Ashmore and James Purefoy. Ruth was later cast as London in 14 episodes of Mark Chappell and Will Arnett’s comedy-drama series, “Flaked” in 2016, starring alongside Will Arnett, George Basil and David Sullivan.

Kearney appeared in three episodes of the Epix comedy-drama series “Get Shorty” in 2017, and the Britbox/ITV series “Sanditon” in 2019. In 2020, she was cast as Tess in the Alexander Milo Bischof-written and directed drama movie “Trouble Will Find Us.”
Ruth’s most recent TV appearance was in the Irish comedy series “Finding Joy.” She appeared in six episodes, and shared the screen with the likes of Amy Huberman, Lochlann O’Mearain, and Hannah James-Scott.

Personal Life
Kearney is married to the British actor Theo James, who is possibly best known for his performance in the film franchises “The Divergent Series,” and “Underworld.” Kearney and James met while attending the Bristol Old Vic in 2009, and dated for several years before Theo popped the question in 2015. Due to their busy careers, the couple delayed their wedding for three years, which resulted in a break up rumor. However, they eventually walked the aisle at a private wedding ceremony held in Islington Town Hall, London, on 25 August 2018. The couple welcomed a daughter in 2021 – they haven’t disclosed her name. They currently live in Los Angeles, California.
Ruth and Theo are fond of attending celebrity red carpet events together, and on 11 May 2022, they were seen during the premiere of the HBO TV Max series “The Time Traveler’s Wife” in New York City. They also love hiking and riding bicycles together. Previously, there was a rumor that James was dating his “Divergent” co-star, Shailene Woodley. Theo James is the professional name of the English actor, Theodore Peter James K. Taptiklis, who was born on 16 December 1984 in High Wycombe, England, the son of business consultant Philip Taptiklis, and the National Health Service (NHS) employee, Jane Martin. Theo graduated with a BA in Philosophy from the University of Nottingham.
