The first and so far the only season was filmed for $45 million, which made it the most expensive series in the history of series filmed by Italian director Paolo Sorrentino. Having Jude Law and Diana Keaton heading the cast of the series, “The Young Pope” is still waiting for the next season, however there are no updates on any upcoming episodes.
