Who is Rosalind Ross?

American screenwriter, director, actress and equestrian Rosalind Ross was born in California USA, on 5 July 1990, making Cancer her zodiac sign. Although she’s already made a name for herself in the entertainment industry, Rosalind’s perhaps known best for being the girlfriend of famous American actor and movie director Mel Gibson; he has 76 acting credits and won two Oscars in 1996, for Best Director and Best Picture, both for the biographical historical film “Braveheart”.

Education and early life

Rosalind was raised in California by her parents about whom no details have been disclosed, because Rosalind respects their privacy; it’s believed that her father’s a rancher and her mother a housewife, but this hasn’t been confirmed by Rosalind. She’s believed to have no siblings, as she hasn’t spoken about having any.

Rosalind became interested in riding horses at a very early age, and was already entering competitions by the time she enrolled at Palo Alto High School in 2004; she was into several activities while at Palo Alto, as she starred in multiple school plays, played soccer and ran track.

Upon matriculating in 2008, Rosalind enrolled at Emerson College, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2012.

Rosalind was 14 when she joined the USA Coast Line team in 2004, which then won bronze at the World Vaulting Championships; the following year saw her join the Mount Eden Vaulting Club, and in 2006, Rosalind joined FAME and won gold at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. Rosalind won gold again in 2008 and 2010.

Rosalind wrote the 2014 episode “Riot ‘Til I Die” of the popular action crime science fiction series “Matador”, which starred Gabriel Luna and Nicky Whelan, and was created by Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie. It follows DEA agent Tony Bravo who’s been hired by the CIA to spy on the corrupt owner of the soccer team the Los Angeles Riot.

Also in 2014, Rosalind wrote the short drama movie “Homeward”, which starred Travis Farris and Jessy Schram, and follows the life of a young woman.

Rosalind’s only acting credit was when she starred as Meredith in the 2016 short drama movie “A Social Life”, which also starred Lani Hall, and was written and directed by Kerith Lemon; it follows the life of a career-driven woman.

Rosalind both wrote and directed the popular 2022 biographical movie “Father Stu”, which starred her boyfriend Mel Gibson and Mark Wahlberg, and follows the life of Father Stuart Long who was a boxer prior to becoming a priest; the movie won one of its two award nominations.

Rosalind’s the writer of the upcoming biographical historical movie “Barbarian”, which will follow Celtic queen Boudicca as she’s leading an uprising against the Roman Empire.

Rosalind met Mel Gibson when she began working at his production company Icon in 2014, and they began dating not long after this; she was 24 at the time, while Mel was 58. Numerous people criticized the two for being together because of the age gap, but Rosalind and Mel aren’t concerned about this and have now been together for around nine years.

They could’ve been seen attending the 2016 Golden Globe Awards together, and Rosalind gave birth to their son Lars Gerard on 20 January 2017.
