Louis Oliver Hynes was born in Oxford, England on 9 October 2001 – his birth sign is Scorpio, and he holds British nationality. He is an actor, best known for portraying Klaus Baudelaire in the “A Series of Unfortunate Events” Netflix series, which aired between 2017 and 2019.

Childhood and education

Louis was raised in a middle class family just outside Oxford, with a younger sister named Lara and an older brother called Milo. His father, Andrew works at a bank, while his mother Lisa Hynes is working for a cleaning company.

It was not originally his idea to become an actor, as his older sibling wanted to become an actor first, however, Louis liked the idea and decided he wanted to become an actor as well. He started practicing in front of a mirror at the age of seven, and soon after that fell in love with music, and began learning to play the bass guitar.

Louis made his debut TV series appearance in 2016, when he played Young Alaric in two episodes of the “Barbarians Rising” docudrama TV series, following people who fought Rome and were given their name ‘barbarians’ by the Romans.

He made his debut film appearance in “The Saint” espionage thriller film portraying Young Simon Templar, which follows the international master thief Simon Templar better – known as The Saint – who is hired to find the kidnapped daughter of a rich man.

Louis enjoys playing his bass guitar and listening to music in his spare time. He played football while attending high school, and during his first summer holiday, his father took him fishing and taught him the tips and tricks to it which made Louis become interested in fishing.
