Early life and education: One college isn’t enough

John was raised apparently an only child in his birth state, by his father and mother of unknown names and professions, though it’s been specified that his (maternal or paternal) grandfather hails from Palermo, and his grandmother from Catalano, both in Italy.

As a child, all John wanted to do was become a musical prodigy. He spent a lot of his free time on honing his playing skills, first by taking up piano lessons, and later on he also mastered the tuba. While attending an unspecified high school in Long Island, he was one of the members of its official band. John matriculated from there in 1985, thereafter enrolling into New York State University, from where he graduated in 1989. During his time in college, he found pursuing a career in law to be something he desired over music, and so proceeded onto Yeshiva University’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law for another five years of education, presumably graduating with a Juris Doctorate in 1994.

Career: A three-lane road

His first professional engagement took place when he was 15 years old, whereby he was cast into the film entitled “World War Mud”, however, it looks like he decided to stay out of entertainment for a long time after that. John instantly began his law career after graduation, serving in unknown positions for a number of years. Two years after graduation, John assisted in the production of the English version of “Rurouni Kenshin: Wandering Samurai”, however, that was the first and last time he produced anything. It wasn’t until he had spent another eight years working as a lawyer that he established his band The Cringe. Cusimano was the frontman, while James Rotondy, Shawn Pelton and Jonny Blaze followed along.

The Cringe

Up until 2019, the band has produced a total of five full-length albums. Still, it was 2006 when John began his ascent into stardom. After marrying chef, actress and author Rachael Ray, Cusimano made regular appearances in her eponymous show, and has since been featured in numerous other TV programs, including “Big Morning Buzz Live”, “Entertainment Tonight”, “Rachael Ray’s Tasty Travels”, E! True Hollywood Story”, and “Biography”. He has never appeared in a role though, so he is not an actor.

Love life: How did he become Rachael Ray’s husband?

As for his romantic involvements, until John decides to divulge more details about this part of his life, the fans will be left to speculate.

It is unknown who he dated prior to Rachael Ray, and when it comes to the two, they met and started dating under still unspecified circumstances. They dated for a few years prior to marrying in September 2005, in Montalcino, Tuscany, Italy, in a lavish ceremony to which certain journalists had access, with the event widely celebrated online. After marrying John, Rachael naturally wanted to include him in her reality TV show, and that’s when he became really famous. They haven’t thus far announced any plans to have children. There have been many rumors about their union, but the spouses have persisted through them all.

The two reside apparently happily together at an undisclosed location, though John is known to own homes in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village, and Lake Luzerne, New York.

What was their first date like?

Rachael was at one point asked by the People magazine to comment on the start of her relationship with John, and she happily obliged. Though still leaving out most of the details that the fans are curious about, she did divulge certain highlights. The two apparently stayed out until 4AM, and Rachael added ‘He told me what he had made himself for dinner the night before, and I assumed that if you’re not a chef and you made what he told me he made, that he was gay.’ Rachael almost ended the date wanting to introduce him to her friend later on, but he revealed to her that he’s heterosexual.

A little more about his wife

Born Rachael Domenica Ray under the sign of Virgo on the 25th of August 1968, in Glens Falls, New York USA, of Italian, French, Welsh and Scottish origins, Rachael is a 51 year-old celebrity chef, actress, author and entrepreneur. She is probably best known to the world due to her immense exposure on the TV screen and across the media outlets, thanks to the great popularity of her cooking shows and other reality programs, as well as books. She has had a great number of successes over the course of her often lucrative entertainment business career since 2003. Up until 2019, she has appeared in more than 110 titles, spanning cooking shows, reality TV, comedy, drama, and others.

Her massive success is definitely a big contributor to hers and Jon’s household income.

He’s also into mixology

One of John’s passionate hobbies is to keep improving his knowledge of mixology. Since not too many are familiarized with the term, it helps to know that this is the science of mixing drinks. To clarify, this differs greatly from bartending, as mixology in itself is simply a science of drinks, while bartending also means serving customers. Many mixologists actually work from home or in production facilities of big companies.

He wrote a book because Racheal did

Ray is a well-known and respected author when it comes to cuisine literature, and so John decided to follow up on one of her books with his own edition, since his wife is a chef, and he is passionate about mixology. Rachael published the book entitled “My Year in Meals”, detailing in it various intricacies about the way she prepares her food, while John wrote and published “My Year in Cocktails”, in which he explains his favorite drinks, and how he likes to mix them.

What is John M. Cusimano’s net worth?

Have you taken a moment to wonder just how rich John could be, especially around the latter half of 2019?

The most credible sources estimate that his current wealth is surpassing $10 million, while his wife’s net worth is greater than $60 million, making for a combined household fortune of over $70 million. He earned this sum through three separate careers – in law, music and reality television. He also made some of it being an author of a single book. Seeing as John has no intention of retreating from the business yet, the said net worth will definitely increase.

Body measurements

So, what do you think are the physical specifications of the famous lawyer? John is 5ft 4ins (162cm) tall, weighs around 132lbs (60kgs), and his body shape is generally described as regular.

His hair is pitch black, he has a graying beard, dark brown eyes, and his complexion is usually bright with an occasional tan.

Social media presence

Do you think Cusimano is active on social media? Being involved in two types of business at the same time (law and entertainment), John is expected to frequently share his information with audiences, so as to exponentially increase his popularity and earnings. It seems as though John is somewhat following this trend, as he is present on two out of the three most popular social media networks. His Twitter account has almost 3,000 fans, and his Instagram more than 5,000 followers. He doesn’t have a Facebook profile.
